  I had a really uncomfortable experience at Petco. I went in with the intention of buying/adopting a guinea pig, but instead of being helped, I felt like I was being interrogated. The employee kept questioning me about everything, what I have at home, how big my space is, and more in a way that didn’t feel helpful, but rather judgmental. I understand that stores want to make sure animals go to good homes, but this went beyond that. The tone and approach made me feel singled out and honestly racially profiled. It was uncomfortable and unnecessary. A simple, respectful conversation would have been enough. Instead, I left feeling embarrassed and frustrated. Customer service should make people feel welcome, not judged.

  I had high hopes for this pet store, but the selection was a bit limited. They do have a nice staff and plenty of essentials, but I wish they carried more variety in treats or toys. I’ll check back again though!

  I have been buying pet supplies here on Sunday evenings for the last few months but won’t support this business any longer. There are only 2 employees every time I’m there and they are running around trying to help the customers, who are all waiting for a very long time for assistance. I feel I have to apologize to the employees that they are working in these conditions because it’s not right, so that someone acknowledges how hard they are working. Can Petco not afford to staff their stores adequately?

  My brother and I go here regularly to buy fishes for his aquarium. So far all of the staffs at this petco have been extremely kind and friendly. Few times we have gone to exchange the fishes that didn’t make it, they have been helpful then too!
