I was told the aquatic specialist had just left for the day. How do you clock out for the day when one of your fish has been flailing about. It’s visually obvious. The fish was skinny and struggling, this didn’t happen overnight. I really hope there is more attention on the health of the bettas and it’s not the customer who has to point out sick animals. It makes us not want to spend money here for a specialty betta or any fish at all.

We had an appointment and called ahead to let them know we were bringing in a samoyed — a famously fluffy dog that requires a lot of work. We were told everything was fine. When my mom arrived, the groomer scoffed at my dog. Called him “a mess” and “too hyper, and too much work”. It’s a puppy… in a petco… and he wasn’t even acting unusually for any puppy. she turned my mom away after my mom said she was uncomfortable leaving our dog in her care. To insult a client’s dog so directly like this, especially after we called ahead of time, was so out of line. The good news is that we had tons of friends who used this location and we got all of them to drop this location’s grooming services and go with local competitors instead.
