- NSNichole SotoSep 21, 20252.0I usually go To the Blossom Hill location because my dog tends to do better there. Yesterday‘s visit was a reminder to stay going to Blossom Hill. The staff was friendly when they greeted me, but a few things Happened that made the visit unpleasant. When I got to the register, I noticed the groomer had automatically added a tip onto the bill. I asked her about it after and she said that Petco policy has always been like that since she’s worked there. However, I researched it online after and that is not their policy. They don’t add on gratuity they’re supposed to ask you at the register when you pay. When I came back from paying I noticed my dog was fighting back a lot, which she never does and that concerned me so I stepped into the lobby of the grooming area to watch closer. I’m not sure how tight the groomer was holding my dog from her fighting, but once she noticed me in the lobby, my dog seemed to relax more. Even though my dog doesn’t see me. The groomer did seem to handle my dog with care after but I still didn’t appreciate what I first saw. I did notice that the groomer was also using the buffer which my dog doesn’t like so that could be why. I wish she would’ve asked me before because it could’ve alleviated The stress to my dog. I still enjoy Petco services, but will continue to go to Blossom Hill and not go back to Cottle.
