  Was just in the store today. Jay is the absolute best. She is the animal manage and she is so kind and was so helpful with my questions about my puppy. The cashier was also very kind and excited for my daughter and I and our new puppy. Great experience.

  We are on a monthly repeat delivery for prescription dog food. Our last delivery had a ripped bag, which we wanted to return for an exchange. The store was willing to exchange the bag, but all the other bags of food had expiration dates that were long past due. Instead of exchanging ours for expired food, we decided to return the bag and just buy a smaller bag of the same food with a future expiration date, which would tie us over until our next repeat delivery. However, they would not sell us the smaller bag because we did not bring our Vet's prescription. We did not think we needed to produce our prescription because we were just trying to exchange/return/buy the same food. The Petco pharmacy was closed, so they could not confirm our existing prescription and would not let us buy the same food in a smaller quantity. This is ridiculous and have decided, going forward, to have my prescription dog food supplied by someone other than Petco.

  Everyone was very helpful. The man who helped us find a item and the cashier Jason. Both had knowledge, patience, and great customer service skills.

  I only give a 1 star due to what I witnessed tonight. A group of young women tormenting a cat on display. Laughing loudly, pounding on the enclosure, sticking their fingers into the enclosure. This went on for approximately 15 minutes while I gathered my supplies. I walked by them due to their noise- they stopped and moved on. But then they went back. I told an associate who then went over and talked with the group. This associate thanked me for alerting her to the issue. The issue could be heard by ALL. This was animal abuse in their care! I am beyond disappointed with the team in this store.

  Giving this a one star because today I witnessed a conure by the name of “Pineapple” got their foot stuck where the door to the cage is, and when I had asked the front desk if they could help the bird get it’s foot unstuck the employee rudely said she’ll double check on the bird but never once came over to help Pineapple. I waited for a couple of minutes which felt like a very long time because the bird was screaming in pain. Eventually the bird pulled its foot out and now it has a red mark on its foot. Thank you Petco for not caring about your animals. Maybe check on your birds next time when you hear them screaming their hearts out throughout the whole store, they might get their foot stuck.
