We have been going to Banfield since we got our puppy (almost 3 years now) and recently rescued a Chewinee from the shelter so we came for an exam, ear infection concern and some vaccines. We were greeted by Aliyah who was an amazing communicator, friendly customer service and very professional. All the staff is always friendly and super professional. Definitely would recommend coming to this Banfield Hospital!!

I had a really upsetting experience at Banfield Meridian today, and I feel compelled to warn other pet owners. After a hike, my Maltipoo was covered in ticks, far more than I could safely handle on my own. I was scared and overwhelmed, especially worried about leaving tick heads embedded in his skin, so I rushed him in for help. Instead of reassurance, I was met with shocking pricing and a complete lack of compassion. The manager told me they had already removed 25 ticks on head and front legs and that it would cost $195. She also stated that she thinks it could be around 60 ticks total which would cost $420 depending on how many more they found. I was honestly stunned. In a moment where I was worried about my dog’s health, it felt like I was being taken advantage of. To make matters worse, I have a Banfield membership, so the price does not include an exam. Yet somehow the cost was still incredibly high. When I questioned it, the manager was cold and dismissive, simply saying, “These are our prices, or you can do it yourself at home.” That response was incredibly frustrating and honestly heartbreaking given the situation I was in. At that point, they had already started, and I was too worried about my dog to walk away. I felt completely stuck. I ended up paying $330 for removing 48 ticks. The technician even mentioned that the ticks were fairly easy to remove since they had just attached and she found 3 ticks just wandering around on my dog which made the price feel even more unreasonable. Afterward, I called VCA Almaden, and they quoted around $200 for removing about 60 ticks, including the exam, less than half what I paid here for fewer ticks. This experience left me feeling taken advantage of during a stressful moment when I just needed help for my dog with an easy task for a vet clinic. The lack of empathy and the extreme pricing were deeply disappointing. I would strongly encourage others to look elsewhere for care.

I had a great experience at Banfield on Meridian. My traumatized shelter dog was treated with tender compassion and they even carried her out to my car for me.
