My partner and I recently visited this Petco location, and we left feeling genuinely shocked and deeply saddened. As we walked through the store, we couldn’t ignore the conditions many of the animals were kept in. Several enclosures appeared overcrowded, while others were far too small and poorly maintained. It was difficult to watch animals confined in spaces that clearly do not meet their natural needs. Instead of seeing healthy, enriched environments, we saw signs of stress, lack of stimulation, and inadequate care. What affected us the most was the realization that these are not “products” or entertainment for customers — they are living, thinking, and feeling beings. Many of them are forced to spend their days in tiny enclosures, surrounded by constant noise, bright lights, and people tapping on glass or laughing at them. This is not an environment any animal should have to endure. We strongly believe that animal welfare should come before profit. Proper, species-appropriate care is not optional — it is a responsibility. Seeing animals treated this way was heartbreaking, and it is something we feel needs to be addressed urgently. We were also disturbed to see animals being discounted by 20–50%. Reducing the price of a living being raises serious ethical concerns — especially when some of these animals already appeared to be in poor condition. It gives the impression that they are being treated as excess inventory rather than sentient beings. Offering animals at such low prices can also encourage impulsive purchases, where people may take them home without fully understanding the responsibility involved, increasing the risk of neglect or improper care. This is deeply concerning and, in our view, not something that should be happening in a responsible pet store. We truly hope that Petco will take this seriously and make significant improvements to ensure that all animals are kept in humane, appropriate conditions. Until then, we cannot support a business that allows situations like this to exist.

Naomi is amazing! I’ve been bringing my dog Snowy to Naomi for monthly grooming, and she consistently does an incredible job. Naomi is so caring, attentive, and gentle. It’s such a relief knowing my dog is in such good hands. Highly recommend Naomi to anyone looking for a trustworthy groomer❤️

The selection of pet supplies is decent, and the staff is generally helpful and friendly, which I appreciate. However, I find the prices a bit high compared to other stores nearby, and sometimes the shelves could use better organization. Overall, it's a solid place for pet essentials, but there's room for improvement.

I went here a day ago to get some food for my dog & my budgies. Since I did get my budgie here at petco I always go to the budgie section where they usually are. Sometimes I see happy ones and then I see the ones that look extremely sick where their very fluffed up and inactive I noticed messy conditions and what looked like limited food at times, and millets is on the floor with nothing on it. It’s so sad seeing this honestly I know many people do not care about birds but it shouldn’t be like this. Isn’t petco like vet care? Vetco. If they care for dogs they should care for all other animals in the store. Hope they care for other animals and not isolate them until their time is up.
