Overall, my experience at this location has been very disappointing. They seem to schedule far too many patients for the size of the space, and the staff appear overwhelmed and overworked. The drop-off appointments are especially inconvenient — particularly when you’ve scheduled weeks in advance. Follow-up instructions from the doctor are often rushed and delivered in a brief, run-on explanation at the end of the day, which leaves little room for questions or clarity. After multiple visits for two ongoing issues with my dog — totaling $2,300 — I’ve decided to switch to a new veterinarian. Unfortunately, the experience felt more focused on generating revenue than providing thorough, attentive care.

I am writing this on behalf of my friend, whose 8-year-old Pomeranian tragically passed away due to the gross negligence of Banfield Pet Hospital. Since November, their dog had been suffering from loss of appetite and intermittent vomiting. My friend brought her in multiple times for blood work and X-rays, and your vets consistently dismissed her symptoms as “just an upset stomach,” prescribing only pain medication and telling them to “try to get her to eat more.” Just one day after a vet assured them she was “fine,” the dog died in agony at home. Your clinic failed to run the necessary tests to identify her underlying condition, and your dismissive, profit-driven approach directly led to her death. It is unforgivable that a veterinary hospital would prioritize cutting costs over the lives of the animals in their care. Every pet owner in this area needs to know about your incompetence and lack of compassion.

Excellent care. We adore Dr. Melcon (our vet for 20+ years - at Marina Pet Hospital before it became Banfield). Front desk personnel are very nice and professional. Phone hold times in the afternoon need to be improved. Pet history review systems are very good. I am happy with them.

male front desk man would not stop interrupting me when i asked basic information required about an update on my dog who was there for 3 hours and i had a few basic visions about. i asked him to let me finish speaking as he would not stop speaking over me, finally asked if it was not clear that i was still speaking, then got a rude and dismissive answer. ten minutes later i picked my dog up, said i would not be back, and was verbally accosted by the man including profanity the f word and more. two others witnessed it 2 adult female patrons.) i just left the building, this happened 10 minutes ago. do not go here. faith was great but this man does not respect women, dog parents, or human beings in general and i’m repulsed.

Dr forced me into a quick decision and only explained financial costs. Didn’t bother to explain why my dog feels unwell. I asked the nurse for assistance and her response was “ I don’t know, dogs are weird” They told me I would hear test results by today and did not call to share results or inform me of a delay. I called them well before the 6pm closing time but the phone goes to a message stating that they are closed. Huge rip off, Dr seems to care about money and not so much the pet. My experience at other banfields had been pretty good. This location is lousy and I will not return
