  It was awful. They insisted that they take our my daughter's dog to the back. We said no. Then they sent another person in to demand that we allow it or we would have to reschedule. They said they were "running behind". Funny, I had to stand at the counter and wait to be checked in while the vet bought t-shirts that were on clearance. Seems like that could have been done while they were closed for lunch. My daughter's dog is in worse pain now then when we brought her in. I am VERY concerned about what they did to her in the "back". There is no reason they couldn't see her in the room unless there is something they are hiding. We will NOT bring another pet there ever!!!

  I have been taking all of my pets to this location since 2021 and have yet to have a bad experience. Slow appointments happen sometimes, but bad doesn't. The entire staff is kind, patient and thoughtful. We all know (or should know before adopting a pet) that prices for veterinary services are expensive, but the prices at Vetco are honestly on par with other corporate owned veterinary hospitals and the care is arguably higher, specifically because of the staff. I had reservations going to a corporate owned vet instead of small practice, but this Vetco location specifically (Carmel Mountain) is honestly staffed with some of the best people in the business. Plus, you are in the Petco eco-system so you can redeem your Petco Pals rewards and even earn rewards on your purchases at the Vetco. As for slow, I'm not even mad when a visit takes a little longer than I planned for because my pet is a member of my family and I'm willing to wait while they provide thorough care. Definitely recommend Vetco Carmel Mountain Ranch to anyone who needs veterinary services.

  The receptionist told me more than the actual vet would about a lump I pointed out on my puppies leg. They are just out for your money, they don’t care about any of your concerns they just want to try to upsale you as much as humanly possible. Trying not to take it personal because I’m sure everyone who walks in there gets treated like this. Explained multiple times my pups records aren’t fully updated and I know he has all needed vaccines - just for the ladies to be rude and try their best to make me feel like a crappy pet parent - because I didn’t want them to not just triple dose my pup, but also buy into every single thing they’re selling. Just terrible quality of service. Don’t really know what I was expecting coming to a big corporation like this though. Obviously it’s places like these that all the bad things just seem to slip through the cracks. I already expected it ig. But to anyone reading this - do not go to vetco specifically this location in Carmel mountain. Unless you want to be uncharged and then on demeaned if you don’t follow their orders that is. You’d think they earn commission by how their demeanor is. The receptionist seems to know more than the vet I saw.

  I appreciate the attentiveness and patience when I come in with my furry girl, Tokki. She's not an easy one to handle. I'm thankful for Dr. Cua & Dr. Lee for their care. They're the best along with the support staff.
