I’ll start by saying the grooming manager did refund me the full cost of the haircut/bath. I was satisfied with the refund and did not plan to do any reviews but I changed my mind. This was the worst grooming my dog ever received. They ask you what level you want the hair to be, but even with the customers selection, an experienced groomer would make sure the cut is EVEN considering dogs hair is not the same length all over their body. My dogs cut looks ridiculous. I also gave instructions to conceal a recent surgery scar which did not happen, so in addition to an uneven haircut he also has a visible bald spot from the surgery scar. The groomer knew about the spot because she took care of it the previous appointment, but apparently she did not add a note to my dogs profile, so she missed it the second visit. Also when I picked him up he has some sort of dust or debris all over him. Why does my dog have anything on him fresh out of a grooming session???
But to top it all off, I asked the groomer to clean and remove the hair from his ears and between his paws. Now here we are two days later, he has an ear infection AND both of his rear paws have been bleeding since the appointment two days ago. So now I am headed to a vet and will basically have pay what Petco refunded me for the grooming. I am so disappointed and upset that they did this. I will never go to this location for grooming again, and I doubt I will continue using Petco grooming period.

I was a bit skeptical of having my baby Murphy groomed at Petco, but was pleasantly surprised!
I needed an appt asap, Murph had some mats on his back legs and on his tummy that he would not let me brush out at home.
They got me in the next day with Erianna, & she did a wonderful job! She listened to me when I explained what type of cut I wanted for him & I felt comfortable leaving him with her.
I picked him up and he was squeaky clean, mat free & was his spunky little self which shows me that he was treated with care while I was away (:
We will be back!

Very disappointing experience.
I had an appointment for my dog at 7:00 AM, but when I arrived, the shop was closed and the sign said it opens at 9:00 AM. There was no one inside and no notice explaining the situation.
I came back at 8:00 AM, and instead of helping, I was told they couldn’t take my dog because I was “1 hour late.” This was very confusing and unfair, since I arrived on time for my original appointment and the shop was not open.
Poor communication and lack of flexibility. I would not recommend this place based on my experience.
I like going to store, I use your refillable litter . I am a breeder and use ALLOT. I also buy food from you , but almost always you dont have what I use and need to go to Your compitition as they always hve it........rather just get all from you as I hve your rewards program.........Applaws kitten chicken and Purina purple can of Turkey /chunks I but cases a week. your always out.......FWI i hve mentiond this before.
I almost lost my cat trusting their vet care. Do NOT trust them to perform dental work on your cat.
My cat has stomatitis and due to a bad flare up of it, it was suggested by Petco veterinary she had her teeth removed. Within a couple days of Petco vet performing the surgery she developed an infection and Petco was too booked out to help. Fine, I understand they are not an emergency vet, so I took her to one and followed up with a dental specialist elsewhere shortly after. The dentist had concerns that the Petco vet, who performed the extractions, may have left teeth in her gums, and reached out to the Petco vet office requesting copies of her pre & post surgical x-rays. The x-ray copy Petco sent the dentist was very grainy and out of focus, and appeared as if it were taken on a flip phone. The dentist called me and asked if I may go to Petco and request physical copies of the records myself due to this being a time sensitive treatment issue.
The dentist suspected the Petco vet left tooth fragments in her gums causing her gnarly infection which is a possibility in a dental surgery, but Petco’s lack of responsiveness and inability to treat or help treat my cat through her severe post-surgical infection really hurt my confidence in their veterinary care.
There was a significant difference in the care and follow up from Petco veterinary, who was too busy to help my cat, and the dental specialist who helped my cat recover from her post surgical infection with genuine concern and daily communication due to the seriousness of the matter. I have worked at a vet myself and Petco really needs a better response system and more compassion if they are going to conduct surgeries.
I will never again trust Petco’s veterinary care.
