- HHHenryOct 28, 20253.0I recently bought a saltwater fish from Petco on sports arena (Diamond goby) as I always do I check to see the fish activity which was fine. Upon taking the fish home and acclimating the bag for temperature I put the fish in my tank. I noticed after a little while the fish was not acting right. I checked Petco salinity to mine. I keep mine at 1.026, Petco was at 1.020 which I believe might have shocked the fish. Unfortunately, the fish did not make to the next day. I have never had this issue before, and I guess in the future I will check salinity and acclimate accordingly.
