  I cannot say enough good things about Banfield Pet Hospital Point Loma! I was so impressed by Dr. Rebeca del Mar Uribe-Garriga, Office Manager Cynthia, and the rest of the staff that I changed my home Banfield location to this office, even though it is farther from me. Having lived in several states and overseas, this is one of the three best veterinary offices I have ever encountered. My dog, Patience, recently turned 16 and has been with me since she was only five weeks old. She isn’t just a service dog. She is family. So receiving very difficult medical news about her was devastating. What stood out immediately was how Dr. Uribe handled that conversation: she was honest and direct without being cold, and deeply empathetic without sugarcoating the reality. That balance is rare, and it made an incredibly painful moment feel steadier. This is clearly a busy office, but they made it feel as though Patience was their only patient that day. The amount of personal attention, thoroughness with diagnostics, compassion, and genuine focus on both Patience’s comfort and my own was extraordinary. I never felt brushed off or rushed. What also impressed me was the way they approached solutions. They understood that serious medical decisions do not happen in a vacuum, and they were thoughtful and compassionate about real-life constraints, including my own severe health issues and the financial limits of living on Social Security disability. They helped me think through a practical path forward in a way that felt humane, respectful, and supportive. Office manager Cynthia and the rest of the staff were also exceptional! Everyone was warm, personable, and professional. Cynthia in particular went out of her way to help me navigate important next-step details, including prescriptions and prescription diet. If you are looking for a veterinary office that combines medical thoroughness, strong communication, genuine compassion, and a team that truly goes the extra mile, I would absolutely recommend Banfield Pet Hospital, Point Loma! They made a lasting impression on me during one of the hardest moments a dog mom can face.

  My pet received wonderful treatment at the Banfield on Rosecrans St. Dr Inoue and the entire staff are helpful and communicate every step during my pets treatment visit. I would recommend this location and enrolling in the wellness plan for any pet owner.
