When I was picking them up, a male employee helped me. I asked how much the dog blanket was. He scanned it and told me 5.98. I went to pay, the woman cashier charged me 12.00. I told her it was scanned by the guy and was told 5.98. She was RUDE. Said well it goes on sale on the 26th for the 5.98, and didnt I see the 12.00 sign? I was helping pick up their display items! I Will NOT be shopping Petco Again. Honor what your employees tell your customers! DISAPPOINTED.

They always seemed to be the most lively, clean, etc. unfortunately the last three times I’ve been here, they’ve been a disaster. There was a “buy 2 get 1 free” sale… and I couldn’t find a third option that I felt was safe to feed my reptiles or tarantula. I informed the gentleman at the check out that the feeders were looking rough, and he chuckled and said “I know, you should see the ones in the back!” I also informed him that all of the tarantulas’ humidity was too high (by the standards of the stickers posted on the enclosures, not even by the most current arachnid keeper standards), and he said “okay.” Based on the condition of the feeders and the response I received, I don’t feel confident that the husbandry standards are being monitored or maintained. Very disappointing.

After looking online, petco selling mite infested products and animals is pretty common. Super disappointing
