Banfield Pet Hospital® - Sacramento Crocker Village provides quality and attentive health and wellness care for dog, cat and small animal pet patients. Our veterinarians and staff are committed to promoting responsible pet ownership and preventive health care with a full-service medical facility offering general services like routine vaccinations, microchipping, dental and surgical care and more. We are accepting new patients now.
We love this office. Our now senior dog, Deuce, has received amazing care there for years. When going to other vets we have spent thousands of dollars on determining what the issues were. We did add the wellness plan and it covered the annual cost in our first visit! Never have we only paid $20 for any pet related service let alone a visit with X-rays. It has added peace of mind to our family. We’re so grateful for the Banfield Crocker.

I've just added my new rescue chihuahua mix to my existing Banfield account. I have received excellent care for both my dogs.

I rescued a dog a couple months back. I brought him to this location because he was losing some hair and seeming like he was losing weight, though his appetite was voracious. I explained my concerns, the prescriptions given were for flea treatment and general anxiety. Within 24 hrs of taking the medications, my dog was vomiting and had awful diarrhea. None of this was explained to me by the staff. When i called Banfield, they blamed it on my dog possibly eating something he shouldn’t have. When I looked up the medications online, vomiting and diarrhea were absolutely common side effects.
As a medical professional myself, I do not see the logic in giving an animal who is already losing weight medications that would cause these symptoms. I called the clinic and was advised to take him to the ER. At the ER they told me to stop all medications and that it was irresponsible to be prescribed them. I will be making a corporate complaint!

I have several cats and this is the only place I bring them. Luckily it's under a mile from where I live. The two vets I deal with the most (Drs. Goh and Curro) are very well trained and caring and will take as long as it takes to talk about our cat's health issues.
Prices/options are always discussed up front and they will always give referrals to other more specialist vets when required.
I am not a fan of the 'Wellness plans' - it's not an insurance policy, more like a buy now, pay later type deal, but it will work for some people, especially as vet care is more expensive than ever.
Frequently Asked Questions About Banfield Pet Hospital
Does Banfield provide emergency care services?
No, but you can call us during hospital hours for urgent care advice. Depending on the situation, we can help provide a referral for urgent care, specialty providers, or to an emergency hospital. During non-hospital hours, please contact your local emergency hospital.
Can I get veterinary care online?
To help pets and their people stay healthy, Banfield clients who have Optimum Wellness Plans® can get remote general pet care advice and triage support directly from a veterinarian 24/7 through Vet Chat™ on the Banfield app.
What preventive pet health care services does Banfield offer?
We believe that preventive care is the most effective way to keep your pet healthy throughout all stages of life. Our pet hospitals offer many preventive care treatments, including:
• Vaccinations
• Dental Care
• Parasite Control
• Nutritional Counseling
• Behavioral Counseling
• Comprehensive Examinations
What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
What kind of appointment do I have?
• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
• Optimum Wellness Plans® Virtual Visits: If you have an Optimum Wellness Plan and scheduled a Virtual Visit, you’ll save valuable time and get quality care from the comfort of your home.
