This place is such a scam. Do not go here with your pet or you will end up paying more than you expect with unnecessary fees for a first time visit that lasted a total of 5 minutes. They suggest a $25 first visit exam for the Dr. to spend 2 minutes with your animal. There was an additional $5 for processing? Really? They should have listed this as a consult fee to list the fees of neutering which could have been told over the phone. I went here because it was highly recommended only to be charged "new patient exam fee" of $46. We arrived 12 minutes late with the waiting room full to wait additional 40 minutes. I would have been pretty upset if there was a serious issue or concern. It's interesting to charge us $16 but what about the the 40 minutes we had to wait for a simple first time visit to hear my pet was healthy. Not a good experience. Felt like all they wanted was my money for a 5 minute visit.
I took My boy, my best friend in here to get checked up and to stop itching I couldn’t say more about the service I received from Dr. Estrada and how caring she was about my beloved Huck, always has been and always has been every time I go in there. It’s not like I enjoy going to the vet, but she always makes it a pleasant experience and I couldn’t say more

At one point, Riverside Animal Hospital used to be a decent place to take your pets. Dr. Jezzbara was knowledgeable and professional. After he retired and the practice was taken over by Dr. Estrada, things changed—especially around the time COVID hit. I stopped going then, but recently decided to give them another chance since I adopted a new cat and this hospital is closest to my home.
I called ahead to get pricing for a spay and explained clearly that my cat is an adopted stray and could possibly be pregnant. I was given a few price estimates that seemed reasonable and fell about mid-range compared to other vets, so I scheduled the surgery. The appointment was booked three weeks out, which was already longer than I hoped, as I wanted to prevent her from going back into heat.
On the morning of the appointment, I arrived three minutes late and was immediately told they were frustrated because they had been trying to reach me to come in earlier. When I asked what number they were calling, it was not my phone number—even though they confirmed my correct number was on file. I have no idea where the other number came from.
I was then taken to the back to meet the doctor. I expected Dr. Estrada, but instead a male doctor walked in, did not introduce himself, and immediately began examining my cat while mumbling. I finally asked if he was the veterinarian and if he would be performing the surgery. When I asked if he had done this surgery many times before (a completely reasonable question), he became offended and told me that if I didn’t trust him, I could leave. All of this could have been avoided with a simple introduction and some basic bedside manner.
Communication was poor overall. I was told there would be extra charges if my cat was pregnant, but when I asked how much, the doctor walked out. A staff member then came in with a bill that was nearly four times the original estimate I had been given over the phone.
At this point, I was already stressed and uncomfortable. My cat is like my baby, and between the lack of communication, dismissive attitude, and sudden price increase, I had serious concerns about the level of care she would receive. To make matters worse, I noticed a late fee added to the bill—for being three minutes late.
That was the final straw. I took my cat and left.
I had placed a $100 deposit and was refunded $69, so I essentially paid $31–$35 to learn a lesson: I will never return here. Poor communication, terrible bedside manner, surprise charges, and zero compassion. I would not recommend this place to anyone who truly cares about their pets.
We brought our dog in to have blood work done because he was having skin issues and loss of weight. We already had two other vets work with us with no answers. We saw an advertisement about this office having new info on skin issues. So we made an appointment.
I brought all the info I had on him, blood work, allergy tests etc and gave them his history.
Filled out their forms with all the regular questions.
The assistant was very friendly
The vet came in, was a male vet, and said "so he is 3 years old" I said no he is four ( its on the form I just filled out, so he did not even read it through well)
He did not even examine the dog, he was at the door and looked across the room and stated he had fleas, I explained to him we had already went thru that with the other vets and its not fleas ( and why would one dog have fleas and none of the other 3 not have fleas)
He insistent it was fleas, argued, didn't even have a discussion to get the history.
Most rude vet, the staff was nice, but would not recommend this vet, he should get the info before insisting on a diagnose. Especially when I had the history of the dog on paper.
