Upon arrival, the groomer informed me the full bath alone would cost $139—nearly double the quoted price. This wasn’t the first time: just two months earlier, I received the same $69 quote over the phone, only to be charged even more than $139 in-store. I gave them the benefit of the doubt then, assuming it was due to assessing my dog’s condition for the first time. But this happened again—despite Petco already having my dog’s full records. Worse still, after I spoke with the supervisor about the discrepancy, the groomer declared she was no longer comfortable grooming my dog and insisted I find another place. They couldn’t even offer a same-day alternative appointment. This repeated bait-and-switch pricing, combined with the unprofessional refusal of service, shows a serious lack of training, accountability, and customer care. Groomers should behave like professionals, not “spoiled kids.” Loyal customers deserve better—accurate quotes, consistent service, and respect.
