  We purchased a hamster and all of our supplies from Petco about a month and a half ago, and the in-store experience was actually great. The staff was helpful, and everything went smoothly at the time. Unfortunately, our hamster unexpectedly passed away after only a month and a half. She showed absolutely no signs of illness, so it was really surprising and upsetting for our family. I called the store to ask questions about hamster age and whether this is something that commonly happens. While the employee did provide some basic information, the overall interaction felt very lacking in empathy. There was no acknowledgment of the situation or any kind of apology, which was disappointing given that we had just lost a pet. I understand that small animals can have short lifespans, but I think a little more compassion and customer care in situations like this would go a long way.

  Walked in to buy food met a lady & we talked about dogs,food , & J shared my grooming experiences. The gal is going to bring her dogs to that location for grooming.

  So my lady went to the counter to ask about a product she had the cat's prescription card for diet food. The worker "David" had his eyes deep in his phone not even paying attention to what's going on or the conversation. Proceeds to scan the card and doesn't even know what's going on. And asking questions about the food sizes for price Then, because there was a random food bag. Next to him, he thinks that's what we were talking about.

  Overall a good experience. The gentleman that helped me was very knowledgeable on a variety of topics regarding the care of the leopard gecko we purchased. He was actually right about the tank size I was originally going to go for. My only gripe was that I felt pressured to go with certain options as opposed to others (food,dishes). I was also refused the chance to buy the lizard outright in order purchase a 20g+ tank I saw on Facebook marketplace at a better price. Great selection of reptiles though, would go back again if the chance presented itself. Definitely one of the better Petcos in the LA area.

  Just got our dogs back from Petco grooming …. They do a fantastic job at a good price (especially when you have the Petco app and earn free grooming!). Our dogs love going there and we love that Jill knows each dog and their issues (one has occasional ear issues, one had occasional itchy skin) and alerts us when something is starting to act up. She also modified the routine to suit the dogs (which one she takes first, which one gets antsy). It’s really a breeze for us and that makes our lives so much easier! We highly recommend Petco north Redondo grooming!
