Dr. Collaca was so sweet to my parents' senior chihuahua. She took her time, answered all of my questions and was super sweet to some kids waiting in the lobby for their loved one. 10/10 recommend this vet, they've been great to us for years. Sooki, Diezel and Curly all say thanks a-pawt. 🫶🏼

I've been taking my dog here for his entire life (almost 11 years!) & unfortunately, I have to say that it's really gone downhill over the years. There has been a lot of turnover with vets & they are always short staffed. So much so that they used to be open 7 days a week & are now closed on the weekends due to lack of staff. When you call in, you wait on hold for many minutes & then it takes weeks to get an appointment.
My dog has been having an ongoing health issue with no resolution after numerous tests & labs. The next step would be an ultrasound & the estimate they sent me was for thousands of dollars ($1,800-3,200!!). I was shocked & asked if they had ANY flexibility with pricing or would even price match if I found a quote for cheaper at an alternative vet office. They gave zero options outside of signing up for a CARE credit card. I then asked if they would be willing to honor their quote for at least 90 days so that I could see if my dog any changes in his health & they said they couldn't even guarantee their own quote for longer than 30 days.
Ultimately, I was hoping to continue my dogs care at this office since we have been loyal customers for many years, but their lack of flexibility when people are just trying to the best for their pets is unfortunate. I'll be looking into a new vet office.

I had an appointment at 10:30 this morning. Went in on time & they said my appointment was at 10 & I was a no show. They refused to see me even though my cat needs immediate attention. Am going to find another vet.

I had just brought my 80lb Labradoodle to their groomer next door, beautiful cut....but only he was also cut between his webs on his front paws & his eyes were BLOOD red when I picked him up..caused from STRESS....I had a Vet. Appt to check on his hips & a third eye lid, in his left eye...(No Redness in either eye when we started that morn) they sold me meds for hips & eyes... that night his left eye Hemorrhaged .. eye was popping out..back to Surfside Vet. They took the pressure of eye..everything normal...NO Glaucoma But they Scheduled to remove his eye that coming Wed...
I went home "rinsed his eye out, which they never did...I put in the ointment & covered his eye with gauze & surgical tape...then I made another Vet appt. with a different Vet on Monday ... she said; I did a great job of caring for Kashmere...his eye had improved 80% ..and doesn't need To be removed..of course I cancelled eye removal... Surfside HOSIPTAL way of "curing" is Surgery ..Plus I called Surfside & they called me back...I put in a complaint...they were going to talk the office manager 4 days ago...surprise.. surprise No phone call back...My Beautiful Baby ended up dying … 9 days of Crying & 6 months of Therapy
