Petco in Oceanside sold me a defective product. I bought the product with my Apple Pay, was not offered a receipt, and they refused to take it back for an exchange. Do not buy from this store. they steal from you.

Awful experience. Order item online at a special discounted Black Friday price based on store pick up. Only one in stock . Received email that item was ready. Arrived at store to pickup and was told they have the item but employee accidentally cancelled it. I can still buy it but at in store higher price. Asked to speak to the manager as my CC has already been charged and I have no communication that my order was cancelled or credited. The Manager, Luke, said there's nothing he can do and would have to charge me more. What?! Asked him if this made sense to him? Who treats customers like that? He says he "won't lose sleep over how he treated or spoke to me". And then he walked away saying that "he had other things to do". Another employee, Winter, came and said SHE was the store manager and was able to resell me the item at the discounted price. Got home and assembled the item and it's defective. Called Customer Service and first representative kept telling me I had returned the item. She was unable to understand what had transpired. She said the Supervisor would call back within a half-hour but wouldn't give a name. He (Dave) called back more than an hour later. Listened to the story and I was then told I could purchase it again at a different location (for a third charge on my CC). Each charge takes up to 10 days to be refunded. He was sorry for the experience and he"would put in a complaint for me". He also said I would receive an email with corporate contact information in San Diego to discuss with management this experience. I still have not received email. I still have a defective item and have not received refund. Terrible service, terrible experience. Would not shop at Petco again.
