On 12/4/25, my friend and I waited over 45 minutes for live crickets with no updates, even after the front desk associate paged the manager. When we finally asked him directly, the manager, Martin, was defensive instead of apologizing. He said things like, “Just because I don’t smile doesn’t mean I’m not helping,” and “I’m not the only one that works here,” even though he recognized me as a regular customer. When we asked for a refund for the crickets, he ignored the request and went to get them anyway, making us wait even longer. While processing the refund for the crickets, he began justifying his actions and behavior. I told him I didn’t want to hear excuses, but he continued, and at that point I asked for a refund for everything I had purchased. The rest of the staff has always been polite—the issue is specifically with the manager. I visited Studio City's Petco right after and received excellent service from Francisco, which shows the problem isn’t Petco—it’s this store’s management.
