  Alex is the best! She is very nice, does really well with my pup, and she knows what she is doing/always does a wonderful job. Super thankful for the talented and wonderful care my dog receives when he needs to be groomed. Thank you.

  I want to make it clear that my score is based solely on the way I was treated by the store manager and has nothing to do with the groomer. I never thought anything negative about the groomer’s work. The issue was strictly how the manager mistreated me. I’m not a confrontational person, so the situation made me cry. I recently rescued a dog who was very neglected by their previous owners, so my dog’s trainer recommended a groomer at this PETCO location 27815a Santa Margarita Pkwy, Mission Viejo, CA, 92691. The groomer tried to cut my dog’s hair but wasn’t able to finish, as the dog was very scared, and anxious. She kindly told me I didn’t have to pay. I insisted on paying. The total was $89.99, and she gave me a 20% off coupon, probably because my dog didn’t look his best and the work was not done at all. When I got to the register, nobody was there, then a woman came to help and I handed the grooming receipt for $89.99 plus the 20% off coupon. The cashier then told me the total was $80.99. I told her that wasn’t correct, and she asked me to walk around the register to see her screen. I explained that 20% of $90 is $18. She said no. At that moment I had my dog with me who was already beyond stressed out and he was trying to leave the store, then the cashier, I think her name was Saya, Maya, or Saran, I can’t recall, she started yelling at me, saying things like “You don’t want to pay?” and “Are you trying to leave? At this point I thought she was going to call the cops on me, because of the way she was acting, and kept insisting that was the only discount she was giving me. I kept trying to tell her she was incorrect, and her attitude became completely rude and unprofessional. When I asked her to call the manager, she said she was the manager, which honestly shocked me!! Thankfully, the groomer came back and honored the discount, then that manager said, “Are you happy now???” and walked away. For the record, I NEVER asked for any discount at all. I’m still very upset at the situation. I just can’t believe anyone would treat people like that. Today, I will be canceling my dog’s training sessions at my other PETCO in Orange, I would much rather give my money to a company that provides good customer service and not treat people the way the manager did, by demeaning and mistreating a customer, it’s not good customer service or customer care. That manager needs to find a job where she does not deal with people. Petco staff - if you read this, please send that person to a training ASAP!

  Kayleen does an amazing job with our husky. She always goes the extra mile, and even though our dog doesn’t like baths, she loves seeing Kayleen!

  My experience with Kayleen is always pleasant. She is top notch and very kind. My Diesel LOVES her and that is very important to me, since he is a Senior. Thank you, Kayleen, for always being so gentle with my love.
