  The lady refused to sell us any fish. We took our grandson as a surprise and she asked what size tank we have and I said we are buying a temporary tank with the fish and I'm ordering a tank to be delivered. Why is it any of her business? She was rude. Didn't explain herself or make any recommendations or anything. Just refused us service. Needless to say my autistic 9 yr old grandson was devastated. We shop here all the time for our cat, dog and chinchilla. We will never set foot in this store again.

  Put this groomer on the “never try” list. I made an appointment for 9:15, showed up 15 mins early and was first in line for the doors to the store to open. I was told my “groomer isn’t in yet” and to wait on a bench. I waited in total 25 minutes and watched 8 dogs be checked in ahead of me. After the 4th (and 15 minutes into waiting) I was told “oh she’s here now and will come get you” waited another 10 minutes and finally left. Zero plans to ever return. Update: the fact that they have a canned response queued up for my situation gives insight.. the service I experienced is not the first and they expect and anticipate this type of feedback. Really sad. The Petco groomer in Modesto is great.

  As REGULAR CLIENT of PETCO. I am suggesting on the owner to check their stuff performance and professional standards. They should pick the Manager that helps customers and REALLY MANAGED their store. JOSH the Manager he says, he cannot do anything in regards with the Grooming dept? Why is that? Did he even tried to reach out to accommodate 1 client? The purpose of visiting was to get my old dog a NAIL CUT. That may take at least 6mins maybe? And this only groomer (young girl) rejected and groom the last dog “SLOWLY” for her not to take me while I’m watching and talking to customer service which VERY NOT HELPFUL at ALL. I don’t FEEL VALUED and ALL I’M asking is to TRY to reconsider doing my dog nail cutting which is really fasts and they also says NO APPOINTMENT needed and walk in at ANYTIME is okay. Really? And GOT REJECTED??? Thank you on being a good service? Great way on showing that employee at PetCo Manteca are not HELPFUL at all.

  Petco Manteca and Customer service was not helpful at all. Even Manager JOSH cannot do anything on Grooming department?? I rely to him that I called earlier I talked to someone and mentioned to set up an APPOINTMENT for NAIL CUTTING, she says NO NEED FOR APPOINTMENT. I said okay, because I will be driving from WORK from FREMONT just to catch up with their closing time and I don’t want to waste and RUSH driving back home to pick up my dog and go to Petco. This is my only available time that is why I want to make sure. They assure me that no need an appointment and I TRUSTED HER. Forgot her name! Now, I showed up 4:23PM and I talked to Aikiko, she mentioned she will ask the groomer (the only Groomer) until closing, and WHY IS THAT? Now, she says NO time. She mentioned to me NO time and try to ignore me. My question, how long will they CUT NAILS??????? 5mins????? Now, why they cannot spare 5mins???? I showed up 1hour and 37mins before closing at 6pm. Today is 1/20/2026 wasted my time driving home and go PETCO just to know and get rejected????? What a professional way of doing business? Great Job! I will not go back at PetCo anymore and will let my friends and family know about my NEGATIVE experience with PETCO MANTECA. Very frustrating, I’m pissed and very upset on the service especially customer service and manager can’t do anything not TRY TO TALKED TO THE GROOMER to RECONSIDER and do for 5mins. Right????   Petco Manteca Grooming Department are the worst grooming I’ve ever been. I called them last week to set an appointment for nail cutting and buffing for my dog. They say no need to set an appointment it’s walk in and whatever time they will accept it. Now, I’ve walked in and Aikiko was the one I talked with, she was clocked out I believe but there’s one groomer left. If their policy was walked in for nail cutting they should accept the client until closing. I showed up 4-ish in the afternoon, they closed at 6:00pm. But they rejected me as a long time client to my dog always good client and I even talked to Josh the Manager he say and he cannot do nothing. I called customer service representative and still he can only do to file a complaint. Time and gas was wasted. Drove almost 30miles just to make my dog’s nails cut but they just rejected the service because they only have 1 groomer?? It’s not my problem. They should say that when I called and instead accepted my appointment since I car from work just to be in Petco and just to get rejected? What kind of customer service is that?? Very very disappointed REGULAR CLIENT here. I will share it to my friends and will never ever go back at any PETCO.
