  Refused my 14 year old ex service dog which he has all his tags just because I did not have it on paper. So I took both my dogs else where. Can't believe that dog tags aren't good enough.

  This 5 star review is a direct result of Lex and Gabriel. I truly cannot say enough good things about them 🙏🏼 Very briefly, our first visit was with a different groomer the day before. This was for our youngest puppy and our senior dog, and there were a few opportunities for improvement. Starting with a schedule issue on their end. While the kid was kind, the experience felt stressful for our puppy, and the groom itself did not meet our expectations. That said, I want to focus on the reason for this review. The next day, a bit apprehensive from the day before, we brought in our two middle boys, and that is where Lex and Gabriel completely changed everything for us. From the moment we checked in, Gabriel was patient, calm, and genuinely kind. One of our dogs went right with him happily, and the other dog is naturally and genetically aloof and does not trust strangers easily. He has a history of a bad grooming experience and is cautious by nature. Gabriel listened without judgment, trusted what I told him, and approached our boy with quiet confidence and compassion. He spoke to him gently, gave him space, and earned his trust in a way that felt respectful and effortless. Watching our dog choose to go with him was incredibly emotional for us. Gabriel’s groom itself was also top quality. Our other dog came out beautifully done, clean, comfortable, and happy, clearly cared for with intention and skill, not rushed or checked off a list. Lex’s work with Nico was just as exceptional. He came out spotless, relaxed, and not shut down, which honestly meant everything to us. His nails looked great, and she was able to complete every part of his groom despite his nerves. The handwritten report card she sent home, acknowledging his anxiety while celebrating his success and expressing excitement to continue building trust with him, was deeply appreciated and spoke volumes about her heart and professionalism. Anyone who wins over Nico automatically earns a permanent place in our circle of trust, and both Lex and Gabriel did exactly that. Their patience, empathy, and genuine love for what they do was obvious in the quality of the grooms and in how our dogs felt afterward. Because of Lex and Gabriel, we have now scheduled all four of our dogs to groom with them next month. We are genuinely excited to have our senior dog and our puppy experience grooming with professionals who will give them the calm, positive care they deserve. We will absolutely continue grooming with them long term. Thank you, Lex and Gabriel, for treating our dogs like they matter. We are so grateful to have found you. 🖤

  My mom has been taking her dog (13 years old) into Petco for the last 2 years or so to be groomed. The last time she took her in to be groomed they mentioned that she wouldn't stand up sometimes while she was being groomed. It was something they would put in the notes and if it continued to be a problem my mom would have to find someplace else to take her dog. Today she took her dog in and the employee told my mom that they wouldn't groom her dog (she had an appointment) due to her not wanting to stand up at times. I don't feel like there is much empathy from the people who groom the animals. She is older and yes it might take a little longer to groom her. But no one would take the time to work with her. Everyone is so worried about getting the animals in and out to make the most money possible. The other problem is that there was no communication about cancelling the appointment before my mom walked in. The communication and pet care could use some serious work at the Madera store.
