    Really wish there were more pet stores here in Los Banos. I have a dog and we started 3 aquariums and now have a ball python that wasn't able to stay in it's previous home. We are new to Los Banos so figured Petco would be great to go to for the care of our pets. We always go in with a smile and some of the people who work there are nice and make it a good experience but that general manager is something else. She answers the phone in a rude manner when I call. When I go in person she is always really rude like she doesn't like happy people and wants everyone to match her mood. I called today and went in and the first lady to help me was really nice and helpful but she didn't have her keys so she asked the general manager to finish helping me and that's when the manager, I think her name is Heather, started being rude and saying all females are then she mumbled she was clearly upset with me because I was in a good mood. They have cameras. I've never seen her or met her other than being a happy customer there but I've gone in about 5 times now while she's working and she's just so unpleasant. If she's such a great asset to the company to be the general manager maybe they should keep her away from the customers and let the friendly, happy employees help them instead. But her and the regular customers just don't seem to mix. Maybe another pet store will open up though in town and we will have more options but for now I guess driving to other cities for their pet stores will be the best bet unfortunately.

    Horrible experience. Don't shop at this location UNLESS you enjoy being overcharged and treated poorly . Been doing business at this location for awhile. Never had a problem with petco honoring an online price in store before. Purchased a case of wet puppy food like any other time.. Was told by an employee who later stated he was the supervisor that they can not price match any online petco price unless I could show proof. As my husband started to put the case of wet dog food on the counter to go out to the car to get his phone so he could show the proof of online price the same employee grabs the case of food from my husband as if my husband was about to run out the store with the case of food. The employee/supervisor then tells my husband they have had alot of theft as he's reaching for the case of food. No need to act that way to a customer who spends a lot of money on a monthly basis at this location. Then show proof of the online price. Then was told by the employee/supervisor that he STILL cant give it to us at that price. Had to scan all 24 cans of dog food one by one because the employee just knew some shady stuff was happening. SMH then over charged us $20.00. 24 cans of dog food should have been $78.92. We were charged $98.92. Called corporate to file complaint and was told that they were sorry. What did I wantvto happen out of this. Well starters I want the $20.00 that i was overcharged. I definitely won't be back to do business at a place that they stereotype their customers especially repeating customers. As they have such a theft problem that they " just assume every customer is a theif". I dont appreciate being overcharged even after showing proof. I would rather take my business else where.
