  I'd give 5-stars, but I had a negative experience when I first signed up online with Petco regarding repeat shipping costs; advertised costs were not honored. Because of this I now go into the store to make my purchases. The staff there are always helpful, friendly and professional and they even informed me of other stories of customers having problems ordering items online.

  The Petco location is actually a pretty convenient stop, especially because there’s usually plenty of parking, which already makes it easier than a lot of LA errands. The layout is a little odd and takes a minute to get your bearings, but once you figure it out, it’s got everything you’d expect from a full Petco. Food, toys, grooming supplies, all the basics covered without feeling too cramped. The best part though is definitely bringing kids here. The fish tanks are a big hit, and the reptile section is surprisingly engaging. It turns a quick errand into something they actually get excited about, which makes it way easier to get through. Overall, not a destination store, but very solid for what it is. Easy parking, has everything you need, and a fun little bonus if you’ve got kids with you.

  I am beyond frustrated with this Petco location. I had a similar experience here before involving what felt like discriminatory treatment, and today was no different. I only stopped by because I needed dog food urgently, and once again, I was met with the most unprofessional behavior. The cashier, a Hispanic male named Juan, was on his phone and chatting with a coworker while I was the only person standing in line right before closing. He clearly saw me but made me wait several minutes without a word. When he finally acknowledged me, his attitude was incredibly rude. He didn't say a word throughout the transaction until asking if I needed a bag, and even when I politely said 'Thank you' at the end, he completely ignored me and didn't even look up. This location consistently fails to provide basic respect to customers. It’s unacceptable that I have to deal with this kind of treatment twice at the same store. I will make sure to avoid this place and tell others about this terrible service.
