This is the worst Petco I've ever been to. They do not stock anything. Everytime I go there, looking for the food my cats eat - it is never on the shelves. They stock the wrong items. They have way too much non- pet related merchandise, such as candy and novelty toys which are not for pets. Never in my life have I been to a pet store with so much useless crap at the checkout - it looks like a CVS. Meanwhile they have very poor pet food inventory.

I went there for a brief period of time no more than 10 mins to buy food my fish when I went back to the car I found a ticket of parking validation of $25 , it’s insane and I’m shocked about about this , I’m been coming to this Petco since you guys opened it because I live in the area and this is the first time I found myself in this situation so please need to talk to your tenant to give more information to the customer at the entrance because we are not aware about the changes even do the guy explain the information are located at the parking we don’t know because we never have to paid before … thinking now to change location for this matter when the parking is free without any charge. I Wasn’t the only one , more people was complaining about this .

My experience with Vetco was honestly 50/50. I would not recommend this service if you have high expectations for personalized or consistent care. In my opinion, it’s best suited for the affordable vaccination package deals, especially for first-time pet vaccinations and that’s really where the value is. One thing to keep in mind is that almost every follow-up appointment may be handled by a different team of veterinary staff. Because of that, visits can sometimes feel a bit disorganized or like the staff isn’t fully familiar with your pet’s history. It’s important to remember that it’s not always the same team working each time, so try not to be too hard on them they’re doing their best within the structure of the service. Would I personally use this service again? No. As mentioned, it served its purpose for the initial vaccination package, but if you’re seeking consistent, high-quality care and a more personalized experience, I would recommend visiting your local veterinarian or animal hospital instead. Again, no need to be harsh toward the staff just understand what this service is really best for before booking.

Dear Petco Customer Service, Thank you for your prompt reply. While I appreciate the speed of your response, I must emphasize that the explanation provided does not address the core issue. This is not an isolated incident—it is a recurring pattern. Each time I place an order, items listed as available turn out to be out of stock only after checkout, and the only substitutions offered are consistently higher‑priced alternatives. I have never once been offered a lower‑priced or equal‑value replacement. This makes your claim of **feigned ignorance** at the practice difficult to believe. The user interface compounds the problem by making it extremely difficult to determine what exactly is being substituted. Customers are left in the dark until after the order is processed, at which point the only options are to accept the more expensive item or cancel the entire order. This is not a meaningful choice—it is a pressure tactic. While I understand that legally this may not meet the strict definition of bait‑and‑switch, it certainly skirts the line and erodes customer trust. The consistent pattern of unavailable lower‑priced items being replaced with higher‑priced ones suggests more than mere incompetence. It feels exploitative. ****At a time when prices are skyrocketing and many pet owners are struggling to afford basic care—some even forced to abandon their pets—these practices are especially harmful. ****. Petco presents itself as a company dedicated to supporting pets and their families, yet these actions undermine that mission. I am requesting: - A refund for the substituted items charged at higher prices. - Fulfillment of the products I originally ordered, or equal‑value replacements. - A clear explanation of how Petco intends to correct this ongoing issue so that customers can trust the accuracy of your listings. Shame on Petco for allowing such practices to persist. I expect accountability and corrective action, not feigned ignorance. _____\________________ Original review below: Repeated issue with inaccurate inventory and forced “upgrades.” I’ve run into the same problem with this Petco location multiple times when ordering through Uber Eats: items are listed as available, but as soon as the order is placed, I’m told the product is “out of stock” and the only substitutes offered are noticeably more expensive. This isn’t a one‑off inventory mistake — it’s a recurring pattern. The lower‑priced item is always the one that suddenly becomes unavailable, and the suggested alternatives always cost more. When you’ve already added other items that depend on the original product, you’re put in a position where declining the substitution means cancelling the entire order and starting over somewhere else. That’s not a real choice; it’s pressure created by the system. Whether intentional or not, this setup creates a situation where customers are consistently pushed toward higher‑priced items after checkout. If this is happening to you too, I encourage you to report it to Uber Eats and Petco corporate so they can address the pattern. Accurate inventory and transparent pricing are basic expectations, and customers shouldn’t have to pay more simply to avoid wasting time.
