I went specifically for the Bootique Monster Jumbo Plush Dog Toy, XX-Large. I have been waiting for this item to go on sale and it finally did. I was excited to get it. Let's break it down - Regular price $60 Sale price $45 Per Petco website an additional 20% off on purchases of $40 or more in-store or online - see attached screenshots I walked in and quickly located my Bootique Monster. I danced happily to the cashier to be told, the $45 sale price would not be honored and neither would the additional 20% off. The item was ringing up $60. The cashier offered to price match but the manager said no. Manager asked if I could show her the sale price online, which I did. I was instructed to buy the item on-line and they would pick it now for me. BUT, I'm standing right here in front of you ma'am. Behold, the confusion on my face and the frustration. You thought I was going to leave my monster behind. Not today. Even in my confusion, I did as instructed. I really wanted this monster. I stepped to the side and placed an online order for my monster. About 15 minutes later, they handed me my monster. Now, why did this circle of a transaction need to take place. No clue. I'm befuddled. No customer service. No professionalism. No desire to work with the customer. I'll be contacting Corporate tomorrow. Between tariffs and inflation, good customer service at the least should be given. I'll stick to my neighborhood Petco. Shout out to the Ladera location in Inglewood - City of Champions. They treat me right!

My dog and I have always had a great experience with each veterinary and everyone of the staff members. However these past two visits have been unpleasant due to who I believe is the vet tech. Her name is Kate and she’s the one who checks in the dogs in the iPad. She has such an unprofessional attitude. The first time I thought “maybe she was having a bad day”. But two weeks later when I had to return for my dog’s second round of vaccines; she had the same attitude. She’s not welcoming at all and seems as though we’re inconveniencing her. I would think she hates her job with the way carries herself at work. Other than Kate the petco clinic has been fastastic at the Westwood location.
