Dropped off my senior dog with heart disease at 11am. It’s 5pm and still nothing. I specifically let them know my dog has heart problems and had emergencies recently so it makes me anxious to have him there for a long period of time. Their promised pickup time was 1-3pm. Come on! Seems like they overbook pets and let them wait in cages. Extremely frustrating and disappointing.

Arrived for 3:00 pm scheduled appointment ( arrived 10 minutes early) with my cat. Left at 4:30 pm. Never had to wait for so long for a doctor in other Banfield hospitals. Additionally, my cat is a 10 year male old ragdoll. He weights 18 lbs. Dr. Maldonado claimed he is obese. Iam sorry but it’s BS and ANY cats encyclopedia/ or simply google tell you that for 10 yo Male ragdoll average weight is 15-20lbs. Their bodies are very long. Ragdolls are one of the largest cat’s breeds and it a well-known fact. So NO, he is not obese, no need to compare him with some common shorthair breed. I don’t understand why they don’t teach doctors anything about how different breeds of the same animal can have different physical futures, and so the difference between males and females animals. Also have to say that dr. Maldonado wasn’t friendly at all and honestly don’t understand why they made me wait for her for so long when as a result she didn’t really have any new info on my cat. Also what the point of scheduling appointments if they make you wait for a doctor for so long.

Dropped off my dog at this location for a routine wellness exam after four hours and three calls I was told by the receptionist that my dog has not been seen yet by the vet and that it usually takes 2-4 hours for drop offs. When explaining to them that I dont expect a rush visit as a paying customer I do expect for my pet to be seen and ready within a reasonable amount of time when explaining to them that it has been over four hours I was also told that they prioritize pets based on need while I understand that logic if that's the case then they shouldn't offer appointments to people if they cannot commit to having your pet seen in a reasonable amount of time. Its inhumane that they have my dog in a kenel Also do not answer phone during work hours and says office is closed

I have been a Banfield client for over 10 years, with many of my pets on their wellness plans. I used to trust this company, but what happened at the Midtown Crossing location has left me horrified. I scheduled an appointment only for my dog’s Symparica treatment and a nail trim. At drop-off, I made it clear that nothing else was needed. I did not request vaccines, and the notes on the appointment reflected that. When I came to pick up my dog, staff casually informed me that they had given her two vaccines without my consent. I was never called, never asked, and no one confirmed whether vaccinations were actually due. Only after the fact did they ask if I was “aware of the side effects.” That is completely backwards. Even worse, they never offered my dog Benadryl or any preventive medication to help reduce the risk of a reaction. Any professional veterinarian knows that giving unnecessary or duplicate vaccines can be dangerous, yet they provided no safeguard. This shows a complete lack of professionalism and care. The doctor, Dr. Diana Maria Hernandez, and the nurse, Viviana Hernandez, both failed to contact me before administering these injections. They disregarded my clear instructions, and in doing so, they put my pet’s life in danger. This is not just poor communication—it is unprofessional and negligent. In my opinion, they do not deserve to hold a veterinary license if they cannot respect consent, follow proper protocols, or prioritize animal safety. I will be filing a legal complaint with Banfield corporate and the state veterinary board, and I fully expect this matter to result in legal action. I want every pet owner to be aware of what happened so no one else has to experience this kind of mistreatment. Pets are family. They deserve safe, respectful, and professional care—not what my dog received at this Banfield location.
