I tried to purchase a bag of Orijen Cat food for $45.00, I handed the man at the register a $100 bill and he stated that their policy is they can not accept a $100 bill for any purchase under $50.00. I buy this food about every 3 weeks and half the time I pay with a hundred dollar bill and half the time I pay with my card but today i wanted to pay cash. I input my phone number in their system so they can see im a regular customer and see my purchase history but they still refused to take my money. I had to go to the bank to break my 100 bill so i could purchase the food. How does a store like petco not have $55.00 in change in the register? I know this sounds Petty to some, but this really got under my skin today and i felt like it was really bad customer service in general. 99 Percent of the time the service is great in this store but today I had a bad experience.
