Despite always paying in full, and asking reasonable, pet-focused medical questions, I was informed that this practice would no longer provide care for my pet because staff felt “uncomfortable” with my demeanor while I asked questions. There were no issues related to my pet’s behavior, insurance, or payment. What was most concerning is that I observed other clients ask questions without consequence, yet I was treated differently for doing the same. No concerns were raised to me beforehand, no boundaries were discussed, and no effort was made to address communication before terminating the client relationship. Being dismissed based on subjective perceptions of “demeanor,” while others are not, raises serious concerns about unequal and potentially discriminatory treatment. Pet owners should never feel discouraged or penalized for advocating for their animals’ health. If you are someone who asks detailed questions or wants to be actively involved in your pet’s care, this may not be the right practice for you.

They also offer pet insurance, care credit, and scratch pay to help with the bill :) .
