  We absolutely love Dr. Thelen! She is one of the smartest, most intuitive, and compassionate veterinarians we’ve ever worked with. Her ability to quickly understand what our pets need — both medically and emotionally — is truly remarkable. She takes the time to explain everything clearly, listens with genuine care, and treats our animals as if they were her own. Every visit with Dr. Thelen gives us complete confidence that our pet is in the best hands. Her intelligence, kindness, and dedication shine through in everything she does.   I booked online for my dog Ellie. I called because I could not add a second dog online. The call center booked me in back to back from 330 to 430 and when I arrived they wouldn’t see both my dogs. They are blaming the call center, but the entire reason I came here was for the convenience. I certainly got that wrong and have left without either dog being seen. Awful customer service. Big company problems. I should have gone to someone local.

  After further research, This Vetco did not offer any puppy packages like "pup start" or "pup boost." I asked the technicians regarding any discounts that they may provide seeing as we are a military family and the technicians did not, then, offer any bundles. So I ended up paying $175 for "Canine 5-in-1 (DA2PP) Vaccination 4 Weeks" and other services that I did not request because they took my puppy to the back without inviting me into the examination. I also learned from going over the invoice more carefully that the technician J. Carillo was under the supervision of the vetenarian when administering vaccines to my dog. I was not told that verbally as I said, J. Carillo took my dog without inviting me into the "technician consultation" which I was charged $50 for. Ultimately, the "pup starter" includes a fecal test and a dewormer plus the needed vaccines for a total price, before tax, of $115 according to the corporate website and under their California vaccine schedule and pricings. I am never taking my dog to this Vetco again.

  I brought my cat in for an issue that actually got better the day I brought him in. They still checked him out and were willing to do his annual vaccinations even though it technically wasn’t a wellness visit. They were quick and very friendly.

  Dr.Thelen is excellent. We prefer only to see her. Support staff is nice. We really dislike the bare bones exam rooms at this location with bench seats that do not accommodate two pet parents easily and have no running AC so the rooms get warm and uncomfortable if you have to wait longer than 10 min once they put you in a room. Surely for the $$ VETCO charges you could make the experience of medical visits more comfortable for pet parents, we are already stressed from our pet's medical needs. Thes exam rooms could be easily redesigned. We have thought about going to other vets in the area because of the exam rooms and the charges.
