Been on hold for 11 minutes for vet records that were requested multiple times. It's like they hold your pets info hostage when you try to go anywhere else.

I was visiting town when my dog broke his dew claw. He's done it before, and I knew it needed to be cut by a vet. I called in advance, made an appointment and got a cost estimate of $26 plus an office visit (which I think was $65-70). Great, a little more costly than my vet, but I was travelling so needed a solution. Took my dog in, waited for 15 minutes after my appointment time to be greeted by anyone. Saw the vet, she examined him and told me the tech would return for a cost estimate. As she reviewed the estimate, turns out they wanted to charge me $220 for cutting his dew claw, putting him on antibiotics, pain meds, I cannot even remember what else (that was not including the office visit). I said, I'm sorry I'm confused, the girl I spoke with this morning said it would be $26 plus the office visit. The tech looks at me and responds, "oh I don't know of anything that is $26 here." What. So I attempted to negotiate, not wanting my dog to suffer, tried to just get pain meds, they said no he needs all of these other drugs (I honestly don't know why he needed them, they couldn't tell me; my dog is very sensitive to meds, so I am very careful with what he gets. Also since he has broken his dew claw in the past, I know very well he has never needed antibiotics, I just keep it cleaned and wrapped for a few days until the soreness dies down.) So after I settled, I thoughtfully declined the service, told them they were outrageous, and I would be going home to my vet (who has charged $23 for dew claw trim in the past). I paid $72 for a vet visit where they tried to overcharge me for a simple procedure, and I'm so glad I left when I did. I cannot believe they pressure clients like this. Had I never had my dog's dew claw trimmed before, I may have fallen for this scheme. I will never visit another Banfield again. What a corporate joke and waste of my time and money. I hope pet parents consider other options because they truly are ripping you off and possibly over-treating your pets with unnecessary medications.

Went in for an annual exam, and turned out they didn't do ANYTHING, no bloodwork, no urine, no fecal exam just "physical exam" and "dental exam" so they just looked around my cat and her teeth and charged $160. I don't know what happened to this location. We also raised concern about possible flea bites, but doctor didn't do anything but just told us to "monitor" and now it's getting worse, so we will be taking her to other location.
