I have a care plan with Banfield for my elderly dog. I came in to have his foot checked and a cough checked. His foot had surgery a few months ago to remove a mass between his toes. This was done at a different Banfield location. When the nurse came in to talk to me after the vet checked my dog in the back, they tried selling me on multiple expensive allergy treatments, and the vet didn't even look at the surgery site like I was here for. I had to tell the nurse to tell the vet to actually read why I was here and check his foot. Only after that did the vet come in and talk to me. I had to explain all the tests that were done a few months ago prior to my dog's surgery, even though those details are in Banfield's records and I had said over the phone that this is specifically why I was bringing my dog in. Finally, after talking with the vet and telling them specifically to re-read why I was here in the first place, the vet said my dog's foot was healed nicely and were we able to discuss options for his cough. The topic of the multiple allergy treatments also didn't come up again.

Google review I just left… I have been going to Banfield since 2001 with all of my various animals that I’ve had have had plans. Today, I have walked into a Banfield that I have gone to for 3 years. Each time the prices keep going up, but the quality keeps going down and the hours become more limited. I simply want anal glands and nails to be taken care of on my dog. I’m now being told by Tammy that the appointment that I’ve set isn’t valid and as an exception they will treat my dog. I don’t know who she is or how/why she is dictating policy that was never expressed, communicated or provided in writing. In addition to that I’m told I can only come in between 2 PM and 3 PM during the weekdays and Saturday only. So they are now charging me more money for a manicure pedicure glands and limiting the amount of time that I can come in when I’m an individual who runs my own business, and I have three dogs. I will no longer be moving forward with any of the policies for three dogs of mine and I’ll be making sure I cancel those moving forward. I do not recommend Banfield or their wellness plans. The staff is less qualified and less helpful. What a bummer.

Dr. Hossein Amini set the bar for veterinary care with our dog Marley (IMPA). He listened, explained options (steroid-sparing meds, monitoring plan), and treated Marley like family. We’ve seen many vets over the years—Dr. Amini is the best. If anyone knows which clinic he’s practicing at now in Southern California, please share. We will happily travel to see him again.
