- KSKatelyn SolumAug 4, 20251.0I made an appointment to get my dog a rabies shot, I have a decently sized dog and he does not like to get in/out of the car. I asked petco if they could help me bring my dog inside as it is hard to do on my own, the associate said yes to doing so. When I arrived at petco and was checking in with an employee they asked if my dog was present, I said “yes, I was told you guys could help get him into the store” the employee then tells me they are not even “permitted to leave the store” I then say that they had told me they would be able to come get him from my car. Then they asked what he was receiving for the appointment so I told them it was for his rabies shot, i told them he has his parvo shot already. I got home and a couple hours had passed and I had wanted to see if I was given the tag for his collar that says he had received his rabies shot, I was not given one. I called petco and they said they had given him his Parvo shot, not his rabies shot even though during the check in I had told them that he was receiving his rabies shot. The employees were not pleasant and nor was the vet, the vet would not speak to me or even acknowledge me. She told me to leave the room where she was giving him the shot, I have always been present with both of my smaller dogs when they have gotten any vaccinations done at petco. I am disappointed with Petco and their lack of paying attention to the conversations being had with their customers.
