About

VeterinarianAnimal HospitalEmergency Veterinarian ServiceVeterinary Pharmacy
Dr. Shafeeq Ahmed, has been practicing in Hesperia for the last 14 years. Dr. Ahmed and his efficient staff provide top quality veterinary services for dogs and cats. Hesperia Animal Hospital offers complete dentistry and dental X-rays, a full lab, treatment areas, latest X-ray equipment, and a large surgery room, which is fitted with the latest and most advanced surgical equipment. The exhaust system in the work areas keeps the air clean, safe, and odor free. A centrally placed glass walled intensive care sector allows the doctor and staff to keep an eye on severely ill or recuperating pets. There are 4 spacious, clean and odor free exam rooms. Recuperating pets are boarded in rooms, dog runs, or cat kennels. The boarding areas have been designed to maintain a high level of hygiene. Pets suffering from communicable diseases like PARVO are housed in the contagious ward. The boarding and grooming facilities are lodged on the second floor. There are 40 dog runs, varying in size to provide a comfortable home for a Chihuahua or a big St. Bernard. The cat condos are completely separate from the dog runs. The hospital provides quality grooming services. We have experienced and qualified groomers in the hospital. While you are here, you can meet the groomer and setup an appointment.

This vet hospital has saved our dog Charlies life. I brought my nine coonhound puppies. They’ve taken very good care of them for their vaccines and first puppy visits. I take my cat Jack Frost here just overall a welcomed experience. The Front Desk is helpful and so kind and I can’t thank this facility enough for taking care of my babies. Thank you so much.

I can’t say enough good things about Hesperia Animal Hospital. They truly saved my dog Cherry’s life. I rescued Cherry from a breeder who had bred her way too much, and by the time I got her, she was extremely sick and almost didn’t make it. I brought her in terrified, but from the moment we arrived, the care and compassion we received meant everything. Dr. Shafeeq Ahmed and Dr. Ballesteros were the doctors who performed surgery and helped save Cherry’s life. They both went above and beyond to care for her. They kept her longer to closely monitor her and made sure she was truly safe and stable before letting her come home, which gave me so much peace of mind. The entire staff was kind, supportive, and understanding during one of the scariest moments of my life as a pet parent. Because of them, Cherry is still here with me today. I am forever grateful and highly recommend Hesperia Animal Hospital to anyone who truly loves their pets. Thank you to Dr. Ahmed, Dr. Ballesteros, and the entire team for saving my baby’s life. 🐾❤️

I had made an appt for a Neuter way in advance and made sure of the cost since I do have to budget for this. They assured me of the price several times. When he was dropped off he growled at the guy since he doesnt know him normal for most dogs then he went willingly to the back with him. They then proceeded to call me back to tell me that someone would have to come back and hold him so that they could give him a shot before sedation which could cost anywhere from $90.00 to $120.00. Now we are talking about a golden doodle who is pretty much easy going but also is this another way of making more money??? I mean they are a veterinary place you would think they could give him a shot. Especially since I just took him to get his rabies shots in a pet store and they had no problem doing it. Of course I would not want him to bite anyone and if it was like 20 or so I would understand but $90 to $120.00 just so I can stand there for a second to hold him to give a shot. So Crazy to me I guess they figure people will pay it and they made more money that way I think its rotten. What other cost would there be after this? I am very disappointed that I wasted my time today trying to do this. I had my husband pick the dog up and I will find some where else to take him.

I brought in my cats for their free vet visit I was entitled by adopting through the Hesperia animal shelter. When I called them, they said I only needed to bring the form that says I am entitled to a free vet visit and I clarified multiple times over the phone about this. They told me numerous times it was the only document that was needed. I show up to the hospital and the person working the front desk tells me that they also need the front paper of their adoption packet. I asked them on the phone the day prior if I needed that page and they said no just bring the page that tells you they can get a free vet visit. When I told the woman at the front desk this information she said there’s nothing they can do about it. No accommodations at all. Nothing offered for their mistake.
