Was inquiring as to why my cat did not receive his vaccination, to which we were told from the vet tech if the cat was sick and received the vaccine he would die. Asked to speak to the actual vet regarding this and was because they were not able to obtain a blood sample to confirm a negative test, had nothing to do with the infrequent loose stool and he was also not sick. The front desk last laughed at us and told us it was funny, when we questioned her professionalism we were told that they were going to call the police. Called to speak to a branch manager, never got through and no messages are ever returned. Horrible customer service. If this is how they treat people in public, imagine how they treat animals in the private. The vet even told us to go to a different location because of the customer service!!!

The front desk staff is great. They greet you with a smile and handle your fur baby with such care and kindness that you can see your pet feel at ease.

I brought my Siberian Husky, Kai, to Banfield for what was supposed to be a routine checkup because she was not feeling well. I trusted this establishment to help my dog. Instead, this experience ended in trauma, heartbreak, and loss. At the time of her visit, Kai had an injured leg and was going blind in one eye. She was prescribed medication and sent home. I was told there was concern for a deadly fungal infection and that I would receive a follow-up call once results were confirmed. I was never contacted. I followed all instructions and gave her medication exactly as directed. Within less than a week, my dog went from approximately 70 pounds to under 30 pounds. Her condition deteriorated so severely that I had to rush her to the emergency veterinary hospital. Emergency veterinarians told me that Banfield should have immediately referred her to the ER instead of attempting to manage her condition themselves. The emergency hospital advised that her condition was too advanced and that the only humane option was euthanasia. I had to put my dog down due to the negligence and lack of urgency from Banfield. I was also informed that she never had the deadly infection Banfield initially suggested—yet no one ever communicated test results to me. After losing my dog, the situation became even more distressing. I attempted to cancel my Banfield membership plan. I was told the plan had been renewed, even though it had not even been two weeks since enrollment. After speaking with a Banfield representative, I was informed that I would have to pay an additional fee just to cancel the plan. I was told cancellation could be handled at the location, so I drove from Orange County only to be told to call a number instead. My time was wasted, and I was given incorrect information. The manager at this establishment was rude, unprofessional, and completely lacking empathy. She told me I needed to “figure it out” on my own, despite being the manager and fully capable of assisting. I am not paying for a membership for a dog I lost due to the negligence of this establishment. Before you decide to take your pet here, make sure you thoroughly—I mean thoroughly—do your research. This place has a bad reputation for a reason.
