  We had a great experience at the Auburn vetco location. Staff was friendly, helpful, and the prices were good. We made a follow up appointment for our kitty to have a checkup at the Folsom location because it was closer to where we live in downtown sac. I was hitting every red light and traffic was bad so I gave a courtesy call to the office to let them know I would 5 min late but I was almost there. They cancelled the appointment on me while I was less than 10 minutes away 😭😭😭 they said they could not accommodate someone being even 5 min late. Most places have at least a 15 min courtesy window, but not vetco Folsom apparently. I was livid as I had just drove 30 minutes in bumper to bumper traffic and had to turn back around and drive another 30 minutes back home. An hour of driving and 2 hours taken off work for this appointment- wasted because of 5 minutes. Thanks for nothing vetco Folsom you’ll never get a cent out of me. Absolutely abysmal customer service

  I have brought my dog in 4 times now and only have had 1 positive experience. The staff that works here is extremely unwelcoming and lacks compassion to deal with stressed dogs. I am aware my dog is not a saint he is a cattle dog Chihuahua mix he definitely has those traits of a cattle dog to be suspicious of strangers. However he absolutely hates to be heavily restrained or taken back without me. Whenever I try to explain the ways he likes to be handled they look at me like I’m crazy. 2 out of 4 times they have made him poop himself and release anal glands then give him back to me without cleaning him off I have had to ask both times for a wipe to clean the poop and anal fluids off him. The experience is extremely traumatizing for him and the staff dosent reassure or comfort him after they just look extremely judgmental. And then don’t go over a plan for how we could make it a less stressful experience next time.

  Really caring and understanding staff. They’ve been taking excellent care of my senior cat with hyperthyroidism. Dr. Michie is very kind and great at explaining everything that is happening and to be expected.

  I brought my dog Emma Grace to Vetco Total Care in Folsom for vaccinations, bloodwork and spay surgery. The staff were very friendly, helpful & knowledgeable. They patiently answered my questions. Emma, who is usually anxious around strangers seemed comfortable with the staff right away. The day after surgery they checked in with us to see how she was doing. I will definitely be continuing to bring Emma Grace here for all of her needs.

  Great staff and amazing service from the moment we checked in to meeting the tech to the visit with the doctor! Thanks for always making us feel welcome and being so compassionate.
