  Will never return here after my dog required veterinary care due to an injury sustained during a boarding stay at Alcala in April 2024 that was directly caused by their care. When I picked my dog up after five days of boarding, I was shocked to learn that he had been put into solitary confinement an hour after I dropped him off due to "showing aggression with another dog" and he stayed in solitary for the entire five days he was there. When I asked why I wasn't informed of this at all, the employee told me they "didn't have all of the information at the time" which made no sense considering they were the witnesses and decision makers. When I brought him home I noticed a large sore on one of his elbows that he didn't have when I dropped him off at Alcala. His veterinarian told me it was likely caused by laying in the same spot and not moving for hours, a result of Alcala confining him in an area too small for him. He ended up requiring topical medication to treat the wound. My dog had never shown aggression while with me, at any previous boarding facility, nor at daycare sessions at Alcala prior to this boarding. Regardless, even if their accusation was true, the fact they never communicated anything with me and just left my dog to rot in a crate for five days straight was inexcusable.

  Alcala is our favorite place to take our dogs for boarding or daycare. It is extremely nice exceptionally well cared for and very well managed. I really like the arrangement that they have that gives the dogs some rest time on their own and then also periods of supervised play time in open well maintained yards. It is also one of the few places that accepts and manages non-neutered/spade canines as well.

  This place is truly magical! I have been taking my dogs Romeo and Brock here for over a year now. The place is stunning, the staff is wonderful, and everytime my crazy boys leave, they are popped when they get home. Drop off is always hectic, but the staff never shows it. Brock is a bit nervous around men so in the beginning it was nice to have Adam be so patient with him making sure Brock felt comfortable. We decided to put Brock into training for some leash reactivity and counter surfing. Today is his last session with Cidney and it was such a great experience. They have you complete a full online packet of your goals with your pet so they can really tailor the training specific to them. In a 10 class package, you get 2 sessions where you go and they demonstrate the training exercises with you. You then have homework to practice at home. Brock has gotten SO MUCH better on the leash and I have learned tips and tricks to get him engaged with me and less on his surroundings. I can’t say enough good things about Cidney, you can tell she really loves what she does and of course Brock! This place really does it all with such love and I’ll be a forever customer!
