- PPPatrece PughOct 9, 20251.0I've been taking my Maltipoo for grooming at the Firestone Petco for a few months. The fist groomer I had was good. Then my puppy was places with another groomer who I was a little skeptical of based on her response about my puppy being stubborn. He's a puppy who is not familiar with you and probably apprehensive about being with you. At the beginning of summer I ask her the trim him pretty low due to the summer heat and we look at hair level samples and the sample seemed longer then when she trimmed my puppy. I was really happy but let it go. This last trim on this past Friday I told her to leave his hair as long as possible, he did have a little matting on his tail. He had grown a lot of hair and I like having some length on him, not shaved to the skin as before. Well, she said she found another matted area near his hind right leg and had to cut it pretty short and took it upon herself to cut him all the way down to the skin again without my approval. I was very unhappy, she should have call and discuss this with my. I spoke with the manager and the manager agreed that she sould have called and received approval. I probably will not return yo this locate in the future, or if so, request someone else to groom my puppy.
