Went in to buy some supplements and one of the groomers who used to groom our little dog came over to ask how he was. Brody had a mini-stroke about 9 months ago and petco could no longer groom him so I was frankly amazed that she came over to chat and to see a new picture we had of him. Very friendly and helpful staff!

What makes me sad is today we called with a question about unused/unopened cat litter we purchased here, as we don’t need it any longer because our cat recently passed away. The person we talked to had no empathy, did not say condolences, and remained matter of fact to the policies in what seemed to be an uninterested way. The cold heartedness of it was upsetting. It’s policy, which we understand. But there was no humanness to them. This is so different from our experience with Chewy which goes to such great lengths to support pet owners, especially in loss of beloved fur family. Petco has lost our business over this customer service interaction. Policy may be policy, but the experience with Chewy is so much better.

From what I hear there is at least one decent groomer at this location. Times are hard and other than nearby boutique pet stores, Petco has the absolute highest prices on everything. I only shop here on occasion due to convenience. As a customer if I have to shop online to buy items unavailable in their stores I shop wherever costs less, Petco website does have better deals if you buy online and pick up.My experience the filtering to find a specific product or diet and availability for pick is time consuming and frustrating.
