  First time at a Petco grooming. I needed a same day full dog bath and haircut for my Maltipoo. Chino location had an availability, so I booked it. Cecilia Yu, groomed my maltipoo. I came from a distance and was late and they still saw me. Thank you so much for not canceling. I would recommend their grooming service. Their fees are about the same as anywhere else I called near me, so I figured the can do same day vs calling and making an appt somewhere else. The ladies were friendly during my arrival towards me and my dog. Went over everything that needed to be done, signed papers and were accommodating to the style I wanted, considering she did have mats in certain spots in her hair.

  Been taking my 80 pound Labradoodle to Petco for a couple years now. Our groomer Jessica M, I can’t say enough good things about this groomer! she treats my dog like family and always does an amazing job. My pup comes home looking adorable, smelling great, and—most importantly—happy and relaxed. Jessica’s attention to detail and the way she has actually took the time to understand and get to know my dog, Just makes me feel so comfortable with her. Highly recommend!

  I definitely would NOT recommend this Petco for grooming. On the online appointment page I specifically said not to use any scented products since I have people in my home with allergies. I also reiterated the scented products when I dropped both dogs off for their appointments. Additionally I instructed them not to to trim their nails since they have it done at our vet. When I picked the dogs up both had a heavy perfumed scent. The groomer offered to take them into’the back’ and rub them down with a damp towel. Really??? A damp towel will not remove any perfume from a long haired dog. Plus both dogs had really short nails which means the groomer cut into the quick of each nail. I have no doubt that was very painful for my dogs. When I brought these problems up to the staff, no one seemed to care. It’s as though they have a specific way of doing the grooming regardless of whether or not it wasn’t suitable for my dogs. My advice to anyone wanting to have their beloved pet groomed, take them anywhere but here. You and your fur baby will be better off.
