The dog had cancer and looked very sick. My sister knew the end was near but as a pet owner it was not an easy decision to know when to say goodbye. Reason she still took the dog to get her nails cut and buy some can food since the dog was having a hard time eating. The employee clearly saw what was happening and saw my sisters pain, the treated her and the dog with respect and empathy. They serviced the dog and gave her some sample can food. For those who have lost a dog you know this pain and denial that comes through this process, so this is something that we won’t forget. All this without them knowing she was a repeat customer, it was done out of kindness and respect for her as a pet owner and the dog. This truly represents what a pet store should be. The dog ended up crossing the rainbow the next day. Thank you Petco employees at Chino Hills!
