The birds have frayed feathers and improperly clipped wings, and they seem lethargic. But this doesn't even compare to the state of the fish tanks. They're full of toxic algae and the water is so thick that you can't see all the way through it. They leave dead fish in the tanks for so long that you'll find several laying at the bottom of the tank instead of floating at the top, while the few fish left alive miserably swim around them. Even the algae eaters die in those disgusting, horrific tanks. I had never seen a fish tank so bad in my entire life until I went to this store. I walked right out after seeing it. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR MONEY. Edit after the response from Petco: "Please contact us directly" lmao what a joke. You have all of the information you need right here. A phone call is unnecessary. If you show such "unwavering" dedication towards the wellbeing of your animals, you should be taking action without even needing a phone call. Your corporate dancing disgusts me. Try actually doing something about this animal cruelty, rather than just trying to save face by pretending to care. Take it seriously by demonstrating change.
