    The Camarillo Store is well maintained, well stocked, and the people are friendly and helpful. However, the PETCO Loyalty card is worthless since there seem to be NO benefits.

    I stopped at Petco last night looking for a certain cat food. Found it, bought it. Opened it up this morning only to find it expired with maggots in it. I immediately threw it out because gross. When I went back into Petco today to see about a new bag or refund, the manager said they needed the bag. I wasn’t going to transport maggots in my car. I work in Camarillo but live in an another city. I was very disappointed in their customer service.

    My name is Carmen again. Monday 16 one supervisor call me her name is Jessica and she apologize for how the manager from the store treat me and if there is anything that she can do to make me feel better. I told her I’ll call her back next day. Today I call and another person “Supervisor” answer me and It’s incredible that this corporation it’s that corrupt. This supervisor (female) didn’t want to give me her name but she treat me horrible on the phone saying that the manager who discriminated me on Friday 13th was right and I’m wrong. I told her what he told me and she said that it’s not true and she already hear the other part and that I was lying. They are discriminating me because I’m not from America? That it’s so bad for Petco! And the kind of managers and supervisors they have its horrible. I would do my best to sue this corporation specially this people who doesn’t how to talk to customers. Like I said being Latino is not a reason for discrimination. And on top of that she try to intimidating me saying that if I keep calling they will sue me for harassment!!!! So like I just feel insulted and intimidated by Petco staff people. THANK YOU

    I went to the store to buy a guinea pig for first time for my daughter and I ask for boy and girl and “the manager”(JACOB) told me let me ask but I don’t think so because they can reproduce fast, so he came back and say no we can’t selle you boy and girl which I think because I was been honest they say not but ok I’ll take 1 and he refuse to sell a guinea pig. I told that he was discriminating me and he said that I’m not a safe person for having a guinea pig!! My 3 year baby girl was there waiting for her pet and this MANAGER only run to his office and wait until I left. Is this right? I felt discriminated for this guy because I’m Latino. Im just asking to Petco to remove this MANAGER (JACOB) from that position because he supposed to help and respect customers and he DISCRIMINATED ME because I’m Latino!

    I ordered four cases of cat food online, but two were the wrong flavor. Customer service said they would send replacements but asked me to return the incorrect cases to a local store. When I brought the items in, the manager (Cynthia, Store #598) explained the store couldn’t process the return in a way that would verify it with customer service and told me to call them myself to sort it out. After driving to the store to resolve the issue, it was disappointing that no effort was made to help coordinate a solution from the store side. The interaction also felt dismissive, I had to track the manager down for help, and she continued doing other tasks while addressing the issue. After my third call, customer service eventually resolved it and told me to keep the items. The experience highlighted what feels like a disconnect between online orders and store procedures that leaves customers stuck in the middle. I hope Petco improves this process so stores can better assist when online orders go wrong. This review also reflects broader issues I’ve experienced at this location: prices are often higher than online and discounts aren’t honored unless you show them the lower online price, stock is frequently low, and there’s often no one at the register.
