    terrible experience, over charged, unprofessional, and they seemed to be scared of animals? didn’t spend time with my cat or really give an overall wellness exam. Then the staff at front told me my cat meowed like a man. Ridiculously rude and insensitive.

    Thank you Petco for being so thoughtful, compassionate and understanding. I went to return a e continuous order we had for our furry baby, unfortunately she went to Rainbow Heaven and did not get to use any of it. They immediately accommodated me and were so warm. Brie was super nice and share her sympathy. I will most certainly purchase from them again, if the need arises.

    ⸻ I wanted to share my experience with the groomer at Petco Burbank. I took my Maltipoo there for grooming, where we have been going for over a year. We were scheduled with Yoselin, who also groomed him last time and has always been pleasant and professional. In the past, my dog has had significantly more matting than he did this time, and it was never an issue. On those occasions, the staff said he was a very good dog and handled grooming well. However, when we arrived today, they took him to the back to check him and then came out saying he was “very badly matted.” Brett told me that Yoselin had said my dog was extremely matted and that, based on prior experiences, he does not tolerate de-matting well, so they would need to shave him very short. I explained that I did not want him shaved and asked if they could bring him out to show me the matting so I could understand the situation better. They were unable to show me the knots. I then asked to speak directly with Yoselin to clarify what was going on. At that point, Brett told me that he was “handling the case” and did not allow me to speak with her. The interaction felt uncooperative and dismissive, which was extremely upsetting—especially since Yoselin has always been kind and has successfully groomed my dog before. I left feeling uncomfortable and disappointed with how the situation was handled. While I may be wrong, it felt like there was some frustration because I specifically requested Yoselin again instead of another groomer. Regardless, the lack of communication and respect was unacceptable to me, and I will not be returning to this location.

    I'm in the Petco Burbank store at least once a week, buying my prescription cat food as well as litter and other items. On 12/12/25, I used my $30 in Rewards to offset the high price of the cat food. It appeared from the receipt that $6.70 of the Rewards was applied to the litter, and $3.90 to the cat food. $6.70 + $3.90 = $10.60. $30 Rewards minus $10.60 = $19.40 that was NOT applied to the cat food. I asked the manager to please break it down. He asked another team member to break it down. She assured me the $30 in Rewards were all applied. Clearly they were not. After a while of back-and-forth, I left, knowing that my $19.40 Rewards were NOT used and now they are gone. I have the receipt. I wish to have $19.40 in Rewards be honored for my next order.
