- SAS AFeb 8, 20261.0Hello, I am writing to report a very disappointing experience I had today at Petco - 8220 Rosedale Hwy during my pet’s grooming appointment. The groomer assisting us — Elysa (red hair) — was rude and unprofessional from the beginning of the interaction. After examining my pet, she stated he was matted and would need to be shaved. I explained politely that I was not looking to have his entire body shaved and that I preferred to handle any necessary trimming myself or return at another time if needed. I acknowledged that areas like the ears and tail might require attention, but I did not agree to a full shave. Her attitude throughout this discussion was cold, dismissive, and unfriendly. I initially tried to ignore it, but the behavior continued to worsen. As I was leaving, I had difficulty opening the exit door and asked for help. She ignored me at first. After waiting a few minutes, I said again that the door would not open. She responded abruptly and rudely, saying, “Slide it.” I told her I did not want to force it and risk damaging the door. She then came over, demonstrated it in a rough and impatient manner, and walked away without any courtesy. I told her directly that she was being rude. She ignored me again. When I asked for her name, she refused to respond until I asked multiple times, finally saying, “Elysa from Petco,” in an unprofessional tone. This entire experience felt disrespectful and unwelcoming. I have been a customer before, but after this interaction, I no longer feel comfortable returning. I hope this feedback is taken seriously so future customers are treated with professionalism and respect.
