  Our dog was very sick, we went to Bear Valley Animal hospital for help, we got there at 8am, 1 hour before the vets would allegedly see injured animals. We were turned away with no care, no respect and no help. I’ve been to this circus a few times and they are a bunch of clowns 🤡. Clowns only there to take your money and only if it’s easy money. Yall should sign up for the traveling circus. We went to another vet, unfortunately our dog was put down and they gave us his ashes for free. They treated us with respect and treated our dog until his last breath.

  We came in with an emergency and no appointment for our cat Bacardi, and Dr. Jaime Velasco still managed to see us quickly. That alone meant a lot to us. Bacardi needed several teeth removed, and everything was taken care of the same day. The doctor was calm, professional, and made a stressful situation much easier for us. We’re truly grateful for the care Bacardi received and really appreciate the quick help!

  First time coming here and it will definitely be our last! The wait time is absolutely ridiculous 2 hr wait for shots and a health check! The vet was nice and great until it was time for shots the nurse definitely had no patience for our poor boy, she was trying to give him the mouth medicine first instead of leaving that one for last, then she felt like he wasn’t letting her administer the medicine and didn’t even ask us if we want to give it to him ! Instead she says she’s taking him to a treatment room why ? Not sure! Why did he come back with a random rope around him and she said it was because he was getting of his harness?! That was completely unnecessary to us! We didn’t see him getting his shots and he came back all scared 😟 We feel more effort could be done when administrating shots, pawrents can definitely give a hand if needed! No need to take our poor baby to a treatment room. The price was the same as any other vet, we went there for the reviews on prices and turns out not much of a difference! $154 for shots and office visit! Definitely price is not that great! Would not come back for any of our doggo babies!

  Came for a second opinion and quote. My usual vet quoted me almost $900 to remove a fox tail from my dogs ear. Bear valley animal hospital did it for half the price. I could tell by her demeanor and some of the things she did (like tell me what she saw and why we would need to sedate her) that Dr. McGowan went into this business bc she genuinely cares... and not for the $. Rare find. I didn't consider the other vet to want to shake me down but after seeing this one, I'm coming to that conclusion. If you're in town for a vet, these guys are honest, will try the simplest/cheapest routes b4 reaching into your wallet. The other place charges a cheaper exam price but they'll get you afterward. I'm so happy I found this place and saved $400. The staff was friendly, the only thing was the wait to pick up my girl after the procedure... it took about 20-30 minutes... but not the 2.5 hrs that someone else had to wait, so definitely an improvement!

  I always get anxious about taking my pets to places in the High Desert because there is always mixed reviews. But my mom suggested we come to Bear Valley Animal Hospital and I’m glad we did. Everyone was very kind at the front desk. They were always making sure we were doing okay while waiting and even asked if I wanted water. It didn’t take too long to be seen in the back with my baby boy either. They examined him and suggested some tests we could run for him since he wasn’t feeling like himself lately. All his tests came back healthy but I let him get fluids while he was in the back in case he was dehydrated. Brought him home and needless to say he’s back to his old self the next day. I definitely will be coming back here to get support for him and my other fur babies. Thank you to all the staff there for showing me compassion. Dr Laura McGowan and her staff were wonderful.
