- LLLauraFeb 17, 20261.0Beware of the front desk older lady named “Kay” or Kayla. I joined their program for my pet and had one single visit. I was told I can get phone or virtual visits included in the plan. After my initial visit regarding my pets liver, I had further questions regarding my pets diet so I called in to book a phone appointment with the Doctor, easy enough? No the lady Kay argued with me about the simple appointment she told me I wasn’t allowed a phone appointment I had to call a nurse hotline number which I declined as I’m allowed a phone appointment. After her trying to goad me into calling some offsite 3rd party hotline I told her I want an appointment follow up with the vet my dog saw. She then lies and tells me the vet just walked out the door on vacation for a week. Unbelievable this women is a compulsive lier. Then suddenly I said this isn’t what I signed up for and your not allowing my dog to have a simple phone appointment she angrily said fine you can have it on Tuesday, oh look she’s not on vacation after all! Well today is Tuesday and my appointment time was at 5:30 and the Doctor never called. I called Banfield and that same dingy lady answers the phone and tells me the doctor will call at 6pm instead she had to “remind” the Doctor about the appointment. Well the Doctor never called. The front desk lady lies. You should not allow this type of women to work here it’s unethical and unprofessional. What an awful receptionist she is.

- TATracy AhearnJan 6, 20265.0There are so many things to love about Banfield pet Hospital. I go to the one in Aliso Viejo, California. The prices are great, my vet, Dr. Singer, is so knowledgeable, and after an exam can tell me exactly what’s wrong with my dog without suggesting a long range of very expensive tests like they used to do at the VCA hospital. Also, unlike VCA, the front desk staff is super friendly. Call you by name when you walk in, talks to your dog and brings you to a nice comfortable place to wait while the vet is coming. The nurse, Morgan, thoroughly explained the procedure needed and made sure that we understood it completely. She even saw us out when we were leaving to check to see if we had any further questions. The front desk staff person, Kay, It’s so friendly and calls you and your dog by name when you arrive, which I think is adorable! I feel so secure bringing Patrick to them and it’s an enjoyable experience for him and me too. Thank you all!

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
What kind of appointment do I have?
• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
• Optimum Wellness Plans® Virtual Visits: If you have an Optimum Wellness Plan and scheduled a Virtual Visit, you’ll save valuable time and get quality care from the comfort of your home.
