The staff seems to like their job. They handles our dogs with care and attentiveness. Educated us on the pros and cons of vaccinations. The exam was quick and professionally done. Thanks staff.

I needed to take our dog to get vaccinated so I scheduled an appt with Vetco at the Petco location on S Houghton Rd, and I feel like it was overpriced. I first took our dog there the end of June to get all her vaccines and paid $155 for the Dog Shield package. They tried to talk me into getting a 12 month prescription for heart guard plus for $90 more (total of $245) but I told them when I take her back for the lepto booster, I’ll pay for the heart guard plus. The female doctor advised me “to budget for next time” and explained to me how the heart guard plus was so important especially in AZ. Well, I forgot to take her back to get the lepto booster so bc it was late, I had to pay again. The 2nd visit, they talked me into buying the Friendly Rover package and had to start the lepto again. That time I paid $225. I had to come back two weeks later for her rabies vaccine/lepto booster, and paid $52 for the booster so in total from the end of June to last week, I spent $432 just so she can get vaccinated. I could’ve just bought the heart guard plus at Walmart for way less. Smh, and the fact she tried to tell me to budget for next time when I already paid a lot of money. I NEVER paid this much for vaccines when I was stationed in San Antonio. Next year I’m just gonna take her somewhere else, where they don’t try to upsell or use the on-base veterinary services bc Vetco is overpriced!
