Jamie a male worker was absolutely upright rude when I asked if he was available to help me find plants for my new aquarium. As soon as I said excuse me sir be huffed and rolled his eyes. He snapped his mouth and after I asked if he was available to help me he rudely said “I’m already with a customer, you have to wait your turn”. I was shocked as I simply asked if he was able to help me and he could have said it differently that he was currently helping someone. I’m a patient person and I would have completely understood if he was busy and I had to wait. That wouldn’t have been a problem.I didn’t do anything to Jamie but that attitude was enough for me to walk away from this Petco and not buy my plants that I would have like to purchase today.

The "manager" Lee who works there is completely unhelpful and rude. I called to find out why an appointment was canceled and she had a snippy, unhelpful, rude tone, didn't offer any explanation or apology, routinely interrupted me as I was trying to explain the issue, and then refused to allow me to speak to any other manager or employee. She refused to provide any identifiable information when I asked for her name (only after 3 attempts did she finally and rudely mumble LEE as her name). Then she hung up on me. When I tried to call back and she answered, I asked to speak to someone else and she REFUSED to allow me to speak to someone else. Then hung up on me again. I had to call a third time and demand their corporate phone number and finally only then was did she begrudgingly and angrily provide that.
I don't know what kind of "managers" they hire at this store, but if that's any indication of their customer service and the quality of it that they provide I would suggest to shop somewhere else. I certainly will be in the future.
As a manager, you should be able to address customer service issues and know how to deal with frustrated customers with compassion and also the competence to offer a solution. This person did none of that. She sounded annoyed from the start that she was even being asked to speak on the phone and then promptly started interrupting me. She also seemed stuck on the fact that technically my complaint was not her fault...... which is a no brainer. People ask to speak to managers because of an issue that occurred usually before the manager gets involved, so I have no idea why she was so fixated on that and kept repeating it to me.
As a manager, though, you SHOULD know how to resolve problems and issues of customers, and you should have the maturity to know that..... yes, it is not your fault the problem occurred. But you can address it in a polite, professional and prompt manner. None of which was afforded to me by this "manager". Instead, I was interrupted and hung up on. I have escalated my complaints to corporate and I will also be following up with the store itself, because this kind of behavior is NOT OKAY.
