A cat was abandoned outside of PetSmart, and the response from the staff was incredibly disgusting. The animal was clearly scared and vulnerable, yet there was little sense of urgency or compassion shown. When you work with animals, empathy should be the bare minimum. Another woman and I tried to help by contacting Maricopa County Animal Care and Control, but unfortunately no one answered, and the cat ran off before we could try and save it. I tried to approach it gently, but it ran away. It was heartbreaking to feel helpless in that moment. The staff on duty seemed more inconvenienced than compassionate. In a setting that revolves around animal care, empathy shouldn't feel optional!!! The lack of urgency and basic compassion from the three staff members present was shocking. I was the one who was one scrambling to call Maricopa County Animal Care and Control while they stood there. Honestly disgraces of humans especially in animal care.

I made an appointment, they called me to reschedule due to a number of surgeries they had to do that day, I reschedule and then they called me again to reschedule my appointment because they wanted to leave early, this behavior is severely incompassionate, my animal is sick and I made the first available appointment I could and they keep pushing it back not caring for the welfare or state of my animal and I tried to callback after the visit because my animal did not get better and they hung up on me. Marissa the receptionist was apathetic and rude, tried to speak to a manager after she hung up on me, She kept me on hold, called the storefront Petsmart and found out Banfield doesn’t have a manager, this may seem like an affordable option but they don’t care about you or your animal. Please go somewhere else

The people here, from the receptionist to the tech to the veterinarian, are very unfeeling. It’s uncomfortable when you go to get your pet some help and nobody really seems to care. You don’t want to be looked through and dismissed. Also, it was overpriced and I felt pressured to buy services that were not necessary. On top of all that, somebody kept slamming the door near our room and scaring my cat over and over. Needless to say, I will not return

Front desk staff is usually very attentive and friendly. However, it’s really tough to get a good provider consistently. One doctor was so bad, I had to call and request that she not ever see my pet again. Then, another provider jumps to a prescription for anything you mentioned, rather than asking more questions and finding a root cause solution. I’m not convinced the annual membership is worth it. I think once it’s over, I will just be getting pet insurance and finding a local, privately owned vet.

Quality of time for the customer and pets, explanations and a telephone number for customer service but they answer in Spanish and English
