The whole staff took such great care of us. The vet tech and the vet were both so great to work with. Great experience for my first time using Banfield.

For the record, everyone was polite & courteous, professional, pleasant, & welcoming. However, my 20 lb. young dog found the experience so traumatic that you felt compelled to prescribe for her sedatives / tranquilizers... In my entire looong life, I'd never before ever had one of my dogs react like that to a vet visit. Something spooked her...[perhaps it could have been the sight and/or smell of the large, deceased dog that was carried in on a stretcher...in all candor, that freaked me out a bit !] Nevertheless, I defer to my young dog's instincts; therefore, we won't be back; won't be participating in your Optimal Wellness Plan [which did seem to be Banfield's priority as I found mentioned as the basis for several class action lawsuits filed against Banfield]..., Moreover, in 3 round trips there / back within a mere 6 hours that day, I did catch a momentary glimpse of the vet, but never once got to meet nor speak with him for even a moment. Best wishes, & happy Thanksgiving to all...good luck...

The front desk staff was very unhelpful today. My appointment was at 5:30 pm and I was standing at the desk waiting to check in at 5:38 pm. The front desk girl had told me I was late and there was a 10 minute grace period. I then told her I was standing there at 5:38 waiting to be checked in. She then told me the doctor had left early for the day. Why have a 5:30 pm appointment if the doctor left early? Then a tech came to the front desk and she kept saying there is “sometimes” a 10 or 15 minute grace period. In the past I have ran a little late to appointments for Kilo but the front desk staff always told me I never needed to call and there was always a 15 minute grace period. The front desk staff was very unhelpful and needs to learn their protocols and policies. You cannot say there is a grace period “sometimes”, when in the appointment policies it states there is a 15 minute grace period.

Everyone there is always so nice at Banfield. From the staff to the doctors just everyone. I had to put my doggie down and it was devastating, but I felt comfort in how much they cared.

Went in last week when my dog was under the weather. The vet tech warned me that the vet would probably want to do blood work and test for pancreatitis. Something they’ve never suggested when I’ve brought my dog in for diarrhea before. I thought surely after the vet looked at her he would decide that wasn’t necessary. Nope. Not even 5 minutes later he calls and says he NEEDS to run blood work and pancreatitis test ($300+). Mind you, her only symptom that matched pancreatitis was diarrhea. Declined and took her to a different Banfield location the next day who didn’t want to run any tests or even give her medication because she seemed totally ok. After a few days of a bland diet she was back to normal! Seems suspicious too me. Lucky we didn’t fall for it. We do like Banfield and the wellness plan and the convenience of what they offer but this is your warning to be careful before accepting any test the vet throws at you.
